I saw Nerd City at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

And he just grew to resent the fan base that was cultivated for the podcast since a majority of it didn't really align with him. On top of that there were some other people coming out with evidence that Nerd has a hush-hush background of not taking criticism well, which looks bad given the nature of his claim to fame is deconstructing and criticizing people who deserve it, to the point where he called in on a podcast that were featuring people that had previously critiqued his work before and he had really fussy passive aggressive things to say that came off as awkward to the energy of everybody else in the call . Anyway, this all culminates in him having a big Twitter meltdown moment on a subreddit and now a lot of people's perception of him as the level-headed analytical cool guy of the internet has kind of been tattered in many ways. So now he's stepping away from the podcast to work on his own stuff.

Pyro’s audience did not like those takes and dislike nerd for it. Also because pyro has the biggest channel people kinda got mad if pyro was the focus of an episode. (Which is weird cause that’s not the point of the podcast) This culminated into fights between nerd and the rest of the group but they seem to have agreed to end the arguments before things got too out of hand.
