I found it very moving . The Japanese have “mono no aware” - the pathos/sadness felt at. the inevitable passing of all things. That video really captured Richter’s “mono no aware”: Just like at the end of Blade Runner, I can imagine this Richter rhinking this epitaph for humanity: “We all have seen things, Hawaii on Fire off the shores of America. This is so sad. Like, when did the creators of this games thought: "Hey, let's end this games with a bad ending where everyone dies!" Like, was it really necessary to end this duology with this... Crimson ending!? Like, every people in there also died in the explosion, so basically... *EVERYONE DIED. THE END* So i repeat. Was it necessary to end this wild ride duology like this? With a crimson ending that only the mad people would think on? I think not... *WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!?!?*
@weebbones23032 жыл бұрын
They set out to end a series and they did just that. Sticking with the nihilistic themes of both games, I see it as a rather fitting end. There are no loose ends, everyone’s story arcs are all wrapped up in an ironically tragic end as nothing they did really mattered.
@Max-hn5tc2 жыл бұрын
That was exactly the point of the game. A world, filled with violence and constant fighting, people exposing their animal predatory nature and hurting others. The nuke was a chery on top of that. The apotheosis of violence, the moment, humans want to win against someone so bad they will even nuke the whole world to come out on top of others, neglecting the prices that come with that. Hell, the current situation is the perfect example of that, when politicians already talk about nuclear warfare. We ARE living in the world of Hotline Miami. There is no peaceful end to the human race....
@unimportant7192 жыл бұрын
I mean the hotline miami world was basically fucked so made sense that just all hell broke loose while no one noticed it happening
@AbandonedVoid Жыл бұрын
It was thematically necessary. It shows that a life of violence can only end in one way. If you pay attention, the story hinted at this ending since the first game
