@synopsys2 I think it depended on where you were sitting in the hall. We had very nice seats in the middle of I think row 10 or 11 and, yeah he could have been louder but he was clearly audible for us. But there is a difference between mixing sound for in the hall and for recording them. Symphony Hall is a tough nut to crack when you have something going as complex as this i.e. balancing an electric rock band with orchestra and chorus.

@MatheusManentee I think this mix is a 'work-in-progress' mix made for this particular documentary. I have a few tracks from the double cd (my own copy is on its way) and the mix pretty impressive on that one. Abby Road Mobile did a terrific job recording this gig.
