If he just does it because he wants to, why did he fight with himself over killing Skid and Pump? Why did he become an exterminator instead of a serial killer? It seems to me that he was forced to kill by some mental illness, so he became an exterminator to avoid hurting people. His attempt to get Skid to buy a cat was a last-ditch attempt to avoid hurting him. He calls it his need for a reason. He needs to kill something to avoid killing people. It’s actually kind of sad, honestly.

I don't think Dexter has any ritual to make him back to normal or anything like that. He's just a sadist with (originally) enough moral principles to pick a profession where he can appropriately vent his needs without harming anyone unnecessarily.

In the previous episode, he mentioned that he kills cats, which goes back to his urges and suggests that he really just has a thing about killing cats and that kids and people are just the extreme step up from animals. It also shows that it’s not necessarily a matter of performing a ritual of any sort.

I think the meaning behind the X part in Spooky Month 4 is just variables in math, for example: x + 8 = 9, and when the X is moved the answer is X, like 9 - 1 = x. I'm not sure but I think that's what it means.

Interesting thought; maybe the reason why Skid was not affected by the Eyes of the Universe was because his dad's spirit helped to protect him from the truth of that thing. Since he was protected, he didn't get any particular powers. Pump, on the other hand, was forced to comprehend it, but was able to gain his powers because he was in the realm of that eldritch horror; he was exposed to much more power, which gave him powers, unlike the bullies.

There’s a lore detail you may have missed about Pump’s name: In a Mother’s Day twitter post Pelo made, Susie and Pump send a letter to their mom saying that they miss her, and Susie started writing pump’s real name before he crosses it out and writes Pump, visibly writing over “Wil,” and Susie when warning them about going outside, says “Please don’t go outside without telling Grandpa, Wil-“ before getting cut off by Lila. So we know that Pump isn’t his real name, and that his real name starts with Wil (and isn’t William according to Pelo.)

The thing that the fat thief says I believe suggests algebra 7:50 there is a rule in simplification where moving the x to the other side of an equation can help to provide the answer. For example if you have 2x+4 = x-7, you can subtract x from both sides to make it easier. It would then be x+4 = -7. This helps to only have x on one side of the equation, therefore helping to get the answer of x = -11. I know I’m bad at explaining, but the point is, the fat thief seemed to just be talking about an algebra rule. Who knows, though?

I have some other things to add onto what you found because Ive been thinking about them for a while now so this may hep you in the future! In the background, a fire truck is speeding on the road in deadly smiles. This may imply that its going to Johns house, where Ignacio (More on him later) burns down his house. Also, in one of Pelos tweets, he says that Johns daughter is not alive, which may mean that she had died in the fire. I know that where the cult member started the fire is in Johns house because in Tender treats, he says, "They burned down my house!". In tender treats, when Pump breaks one of the peoples doors, (Confermed to be named Ignacio,) he comes out saying, "Com'er you prick!" On his right arm, hand and the right side of his neck, there are bandages. Why is this important? Well, in the New grounds ending, when the Cult member tries to light the evidence on fire, it gets caught on his right side, where Ignacio is shown to have badages. This may mean that he is the cult member to burn down Johns house. Also just another obvious detail, Patty found the necklace Bob was most likely wearing and couldn't die untill it fell of the last time that Jack ran him over. Idk i jsut wanted to put that out there. Pls like so WildCard can see this! :D

You know, I think Dexter doesn't want to kill for some ritual, I think he just kills things for fun. (Sorry to bring up JoJo but it's a good example) Kira in part 4 is an example I can use. Whenever he goes for a long time without killing he slowly goes more and more crazy, until he finally does kill and he turns... well as normal as Kira can be.

Idk if it has already been mentioned but When you look at the family photo in the first (or second not sure exactly which one) spooky month video, you can see skid's dad is actually wearing a gold ring in his right hand In the second episode, when skid and pump are being pressured by Roy's uncle, the giant mural in the back depicts a man with a gold ring in his right hand We see skid's dad always wear this gold ring in every picture This could imply that the father was maybe the leader of the cult or had some much deeper connection to them Would also explain why skid is left unaffected by the stare of the eyes of the universe
