Pointing out that many of the french supers stars are not authentically french is not racist but the truth for many people. Add to that the fierce rivalry between France and Argentina after playing the best World Cup final in history I would drop this case. This is not George Floyd incident. British media salivating to report against an Argentinian player targeting and misinterpreting in the most vile way is sort of discrimination in of it self. I don't see this as racism at all but a liberal or conservative world view clashing while the british media opportunistically using it to paint Argentina as racist. Some say who ever touches the ground of a nation becomes part of the nation many do not. Lets take a different example to make it crystal clear If Rooney and Bellingham moved to China at 17 and played for the Chinese national team if someone pointed that out that wouldnt be racist perhaps Incentive to a liberal sensibility but not racist. I say this as a brazilian born who witnessed countless of racist incidents between argentinian and brazilian players. Authentically racist not this.

One thing about that song is factual! When any country plays against France that is unfair because they really don't play against a country but against France who is really Africa's best 11. This is not disrespectful or calling those black players not French enough but more like highlighting the fact that the native French who used to produce good players in the past have fallen behind.

I do think Chelsea need to terminate his contract. The FA and many players over the years were taking the knee fighting racism. This would be a major statement by our club that money/value of a player is not bigger than insulting team mates. If it were a supporter, they'd be banned from the ground/matches.
@Pyrex34215 ай бұрын
Why? Because he made a stupid chant? If it was a black Brazilian player would you have cared? The song is not that offensive and I’m telling you this as a black man born in Spain.

What solution is there when someone celebrates by being racist towards you?? We need to get out of this narrative of, “if the racism isn’t aimed at me, then we should all be able to get along.”

We have all done and said things that in hindsight we are ashamed of I am sure. We learn and we grow. Yes, he is representing his club and country and should recognise his influence on others. However, let him sort this out behind closed doors with the team and go forward as a Chelsea star.

Mate, I appreciate the video despite feeling out of your element here but take a minute to gather your thoughts first, please. This is a struggle to get through with the stream of consciousness style speaking at the camera, repetitive sentence structure, "ultimately", "obviously", etc. over and over. A mature and balanced approach, Joey! I one hundred percent agree with you. Enzo did wrong by posting and singing this song. It was not only him, but I´m glad he took accountability and wish to do better from now on and onwards. He has apologized to his teammates according to the reports from the British journalist Matt Law. However, wish this situation was dealt with in private. Which means that Wesley Fofana contacted Enzo privately, instead of going on social media and making a post about it. His emotions are justified, but the reaction led to anything but good things. Wesley Fofana and our other French players and Enzo are teammates and should know each other. Enzo should think of how they might perceive it. Wesley and the rest should know that ENZO is NOT A RACIST. Despite singing a song that might suggest that. No one is a saint except for the saints in heaven. We have all made errors, some bigger than others. But that doesn´t mean we´re bad people, just humans that keep on learning. Much love to every single one of you guys! A great CHELSEA community. This season is ours, as we get stronger and stronger. And more united than ever! We bleed and burn BLUE!

It got out of context, you have to keep that in the field, germany danced like "gauchos" a few years ago and we said nothing, its part of football, go and solve it on the field. Argentinian players only wanted to say that french national team is full of african players, although they technically wrong. They only named Angola because of song rhythm. Which is true.

Racism isn't open to opinion, it has a set definition and going based on the literal definition of "Racism" what happened wasn't even remotely racist. "Your mom is Angolan, your father from Cameroon but your passport says French", is not racism. French players are just salty for losing WC final. Furthermore I see them getting so defensive as a sign that they are somewhat embarrassed for not picking their country of origin to play for but all picked France. Sure not all had that opportunity but most did. Most did have a chance to play for the country they or their parents originated from. I see them getting mad as more so for being called out rather than getting offended people said they aren't French. Because if you asked those same players "what's your ancestry or origin" they’d proudly say "I'm or my parents are from this or that country" would they not? But now it's an issue because some white dudes sang about it? Nah I'm not buying it. Also, take Rüdiger as example, no he’s not French but when he won the UCL he didn’t run the pitch with a German flag did he. Which is absolutely fine wanting to represent the country you originated from. But then don’t get mad someone calls you not German or not French.
@BirdLives75 ай бұрын
And yet Argentinians will take every opportunity to let everyone know they are "German" or "Italian". Why don't they play for them then?
@kph0925 ай бұрын
@@BirdLives7they don’t have dual nationality, French players do. Argentinian players never got the opportunity to play for Germany or Italy. Most French players with African roots had that opportunity because they have dual nationality. Pointing that out? Is not racism;)
@BirdLives75 ай бұрын
@@kph092 Semantics. The point is those Argentinian players feel Argentinian because they have adopted the culture, language etc of their country. If you were to tell them they were not Argentinian in a derogatory way, I'll bet they would not appreciate it.
@kph0925 ай бұрын
@@BirdLives7no they are Argentinian because they are Argentinians and represent Argentine when they win. French players are seemingly only French in moments like this, but when they win they wave the flags of their countries of origin. Which is of course fine but then don’t get salty when you get called out for it🤷♂️ like world cup 2018 the headlines were literally “France, Africa’s last hope at World cup” or “why France are carrying Africa’s hopes at this world cup”. But now, when yt’s sing about it, it’s an issue? Lmao that’s not how it works. You dont get to choose when you identify as something in moments you have the opportunity to victimise yourself. They are just salty it came from the team that dunked on them during the final, that’s all.

This is not racism, people need to grow a pair. Even Mourinho spoke about this French team players not wanting to play for their background countries. The chant has nothing to do with skin color. Is pure banter about France players (almost the whole team) having origins that are not French. Instead of getting offended they should embrace it and be proud of their diversity.

Consider this: As human beings, we evolved from the same ancestors, yet some of us cannot overcome the primal instinct of tribalism. Whether it's supporting a group of players based on the color of their skin or dividing ourselves into 195 countries on this tiny planet, these divisions are superficial. Our planet is just one of the smaller ones among the 8 in our solar system, which is one of billions in the Milky Way galaxy. The Milky Way galaxy is one of approximately 200 billion galaxies in the observable universe, and our planet is just one among potentially trillions. With this perspective, can you see how insignificant our differences in skin color and national pride are? Our existence and tribal differences are meaningless to existence. Let’s strive to transcend these primitive instincts and open our minds. Embracing our shared humanity is the first step towards a more enlightened and unified world.
