The enzyme that could help 700 million people with chronic kidney disease

Scientists from the University of South Australia have identified an enzyme called NEDD4-2 which is critical to kidney health www.unisa.edu.au/Media-Centre...
Approximately 700 million people worldwide now live with chronic kidney disease (CKD), largely due to a huge spike in obesity and type 2 diabetes in recent decades. Low levels of NEDD4-2 exacerbate kidney damage, even in the absence of a high-salt diet and in people with low blood pressure. This critical finding could change the way that kidney disease is treated, explains UniSA researcher Dr Jantina Manning in this video. The long term goal is to develop a drug that can increase NEDD4-2 levels in people with CKD, helping to stem the 29 per cent increase in chronic kidney disease in the past 30 years.

diabetes(blood sugar) which causes Insulin resistance by the cells which raises Insulin levels in the blood causes kidney disease and failure over time . Completely reversable , stop all sugars, carbohydrates (Potatos.rice, pasteries, bread ,sodas, etc). Every six months do a Homa-IR blood test to see where insulin levels are and progress, its very inexpensive blood test $20 or so . IMO

@@NicoSan805 I can assure you it has nothing to do with capitalism. Quite the opposite. If you need them to stay alive then they can control you. It's not like you'll cure kidney disease completely like it's leprosy or something. A pill to do these things would rake in billions of dollars to the capitalist that invested in it. They'd love for everyone to be on it. Unfortunately the pill is a science theory and they need people to believe it will cure them so they can get money. They need to convince enough people to pressure the government to fund them. Think of global warming. It's seldom about fixing anything.

Excellent 👍 video my advice for you all. Reduce your meal rations to the minimum Heads up! 🚫 not saying do not eat at all, if you are a meat eater, reduce it, if you eat carbs, veggies and meat, same thing. Avoid foods with high potassium content, like bananas or, reduce it. Be careful with oscelate, just about all foods has it. Same thing with sodium That's why size portion management is important. High sugars are the culprit - cut the carbs eg via keto or paleo or carnivore way of eating. Sodium (from salt) is super necessary - DO NOT cut salt - body is well adapted at regulating salt (but has trouble when insufficient salt).

I agree about sugars, but complex carbs prepared correctly foster a healthy gut biome, ......such as making resistant starches ,which limit blood sugar spikes and encourage lower intestinal bioactivity.... this is the problem I suspect with this carnivore rage going on..... people are changing their biomes and getting relief because many carbs/grains are so polluted now...... you get my drift? If your teeth were like my dog's I might agree more with some things I read.

Earlier this year I was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease and also I had kidney tumors for a while. Now I am healed. Jesus healed me and also by changing my diet. I am back to normal kidney function and all tumors gone.

@@user-wm9bw3jw2q I eat mainly vegetables and have fish few times weekly. Also low carb but that is due to not wanting to put weight on. Best to eat healthy carbs and in moderation. I try to drink enough water too. Nuts and seeds in moderation.

If I did a video of any sort I would make sure that the viewers understood precisely the name and spelling of the enzyme instead of just slurring it about. Its almost as if it were a prank of some kind. No one can understand her pronunciation of the gene. Lost time I'll never get back... smh
