Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and 59 in the neck! How did I make up for the top in the neck pocket? I glued in a piece of the cut off from the top into the neck pocket making it exactly the height needed. Cathy didn't turn the camera on.

Prayers to Peggy. We love Dave, which means we love you by extension. I am not well myself and haven’t been for many years. I always wish good health to everyone I know first and foremost because I wouldn’t want my worst enemy (not that I have any 😂) to go through what I’ve been through since my 2003 accident and more so in the last 5 years since I learned of new complex medical issues. I hope you get out of that hospital lickety split so you can get back to enjoying life! Prayers to you for a speedy recovery and that you aren’t enduring too much pain/discomfort . . . and prayers for your husband, because I’m sure he’s been exhausted and worried too. People often forget what the family members and close friends go through when a loved one isn’t well, so pray for Dave too guys! Dave, thanks for donating the Epiphone too! Someone is going to love having this thing in their life now that Sean has breathed new life into it with his magic.

I love what you did with that torch to bring the grain out, Sean. The sanded “binding” is a great touch too. It looks epic! The new oiled neck is beautiful (looks like rosewood to me). Adding ferrels for a string through setup and new tuners help this slab guitar sing. And of course, it sounds super killer. Btw, probably will feel better with 10’s or 11’s if it feels too slinky. I think you normally prefer 9’s on the strats/teles you mostly love best that are typically 25.5”, but sometimes 10’s make a huge feel difference for us rhythm players who are heavy handed and dig in on a 24.75” guitar - especially with the type of bridge you used to replace the original setup. Might make 9’s feel looser. I bet a lead player would love that slinky feel. If a rhythm player gets it, 10’s or 11’s might be better. I’m just guessing of course - I obviously didn’t hold the guitar myself, lol. Could totally be talking outta my ass here lol. Someone is going to be super lucky to get this guitar! See you guys later tonight!

That turned out so good , beautiful and it is so straightforward! I wish I had a Les Paul Special again but with a different neck. My granddaughter loves hers, but since I shattered my shoulder the nerves in my hand kill my ability to play a small neck. And since I had that traumatic brain injury that took my sight I can’t hardly see what I am writing without my magnifying glass. I miss driving the most. I’m an old hot rodder. Bummer. Then diabetes on top of that. I pray for Peggy and anyone else who is struggling with any infirmity. I used to have eyes like an eagle, you don’t miss it until it’s gone. And the headaches from a skull fracture and losing memory. Brothers and sisters I hope you have safety and comfort in your life. 🙏

I love the yellow color of that first stain you applied. The burn really is stunning. I would have thought that adding the 1/4" to the top would throw the string height off. Not sure how that worked. I'm guessing the bridge height of the new bridge made the difference.

SEAN , First off : "Prayers For Dave's Peggy To Get Well & Divine Healing Father In Jesus Christ Name, Amen" !!! This guitar project is a kind of "Jeane Of Arc" / "Torched & Scarred" , and I Love the Finish and the Adjustable Tailpiece and the SD JB & 59 Pickups and Bone Nut and Locking Tuners makes this a Seriously High End $$$ DIY Build Beautiful and Killer Versatile Tonal Outcome !!! Now I paid $2500+ for each of my two PRS EXOTIC Top SE 24 DC 6-String Electric Guitars, and I made my own Peavey T-60 DC Swamp Ash Body with Some Modified Electronics and has a Carvin Birdseye Maple 22 SS/MJ Frets CTH 6 String Neck and Locking Tuners, with Graphtech Nut. It's a very versatile Tone Beast with 3 Pickups I added a Center Pickup to the Peavey Pickups and Coil Split Pots and a 5/10 Way Selector Switch. I already had most of the parts !!! "Very Rewarding" and playing buddies want to play and buy it for serious bucks but she's "My Precious" and my next mod project is a Tremolo System on this "Beautiful Smooth Low Low Actioned . . . Sustain . . . Tone Beast !!! There is no way I could go buy this guitar for under $3,000+ !!! If you can do the work you can come up with some Seriously Budget Friendly Beautiful Amazingly Versatile Toned DIY Instruments to play, gig, sell, other !!! OK : The pickups that came off your Epiphone body Project are : A matched set of Seymour Duncan SPH901B / Bridge Phat Cat P90 Humbucker Sized Reverse Wound & SPH901N / Neck Phat Cat P90 Humbucker Sized Non-Reversed Wound. The Pickups 3-Way Selector Switch in Middle /Both Pickups Engaged Buck Hum Away From Both Pickups because of the Bridge Pickups Reversed Wound Coil Wire !!! The Reverse Wound Coil Wire does not change the tone or power output or sustain of the two pickups individually or engaged together. The Pickups Single Coil HUM Output Is Bucked when both Pickups are Engaged On Together in Selector Switch Middle Position !!! They are "Rock / Blues / Other Genre Use High Output Pickups" !!! Play On FretBro . . . 👍🆒🎸🤘🎼♥️⭐🌹☺️🇺🇸🙏 DDH 5-4-2024.
