McCall says, "See you at work," when he gets in the car with Dave's (Pascal) wife. It's a phrase that Denzel commonly uses. Before they made this together movie, Ashton Sanders (Miles) was being interviewed on the red carper at a premier, and he saw Denzel. Ashton said, "Hey man, I'm gonna be working with you real soon." Denzel replied, "See you at work. "

When we saw the scene where Magda comes walking in and they hug, we both lost it . . . one of the most touching endings in any MOVIE . . .

Antoine Fuqua did the Magnificent Seven remake with Denzel and he also did a really good movie called Brooklyn’s Finest which I think is really underrated. He has a lot of good movies under his belt.

Robert knew who was behind the murders and killed his dear friend, Susan. When Robert hugged his former partner in the park, the pain on his face and near tears were the tell. He knew he was going to have to kill him.

I don’t think he knew until he had to kill the guy in his lift that was hired to kill him. That’s when he knew that Dave was the only person who knew about him so it must have been him. No chance he didn’t trust his old crew up until that point.

This entire movie was shot in New York during Hurricane Sandy… so the wind and storms in the movie were actually real. The director said it was a race against time to get the movie done before the storm got really bad. I learned this from the bonus features that came with the digital copy.

First Denzel movie I saw was called RICOCHET. John Lithgow and IceT. It's really good but maybe a little hard to find.

I believe the TV series, St. Elsewhere, is how Denzel got his start.

Saint Elsewhere might be what made us pay attention to Denzel, but I have to mention that he did an episode of the A-Team. He played an orderly at the asylum Dwight Schultz's character was being held in. I was honestly stunned.

Antoine Fuqua also teamed up with Denzel Washington for a reboot of The Magnificent Seven. He also made Tears of the Sun with Bruce Willis. Both great movies.

Flour, when mixed with the right amount of oxygen is very explosive and flammable. The CQC (close quarter combat) he uses is very accurate and effective. You would be surprised how often highly trained intelligence operatives, spikes, kites go bad. The private military contractor tends to be a good way to keep them working while supervised so long as the private contractor corporation doesn't turn to the dark side.
@matthewzimmerman50646 ай бұрын
The contractors I might in the desert were doing the same job they did while active only for a lot more money. They typically also had better living conditions and food. I never heard of a team like you’re referring to in the US. I know Russia has some. They messed with the wrong oil field in Iraq once and didn’t know the US was protecting it. They get absolutely wrecked!

Guys you need to watch EQUALIZER 3 and the MAGNIFICENT SEVEN the remake with denzel also directed by antoine fuqua, the 3rd film is supposed to be the last film the 3ed film it was meant to be a trilogy but there in talks there may be a 4th movie down the line but it’s just hearsay at the moment.

The storms look real but they were a combination of overcast days mixed with visual effects to darken the setting and very skilled special effects to recreate a hurricane after the vfx crew watched footage of hurricane Sandy. They used giant fans that had to be moved repeatedly to create high wind speed in the shot and they had bags of leaves to blow across the location. If you think about it the risks vs rewards of trying to film during a real hurricane wouldn't be worth risking the actors lives. As good as filmmakers are, there are too many variables that you can't control in a real gale-force windstorm. For instance, you can't be sure that the actors won't be hit by a flying piece of debris and either killed or seriously injured. They did film in stormy conditions and they had had winds that typically would be found in an average storm, enough to blow leaves gently down the street. Hence the varying sizes of large fans and bags of leaves to create the serious weather effects on set.

Pedro Pascal is ok as the villain (though nowhere near as sinister as the guy in the first Equalizer)....but I don't get all the hype about him and how great he will be in the new Gladiator movie. If they are trying to make him into the new Russell Crowe they will fail dismally. He's only so so.

I disagree. I'm sure that he knew at that point. I'd have to watch his investigation again to point out specifics, but the key is in his facial expressions. Like I said, his wince and near tears says it all. Besides, he's too smart to only get what's going on that late in the game. But thanks.
