one theory someone made is that luna and celestria are in their respective celestial bodies. and since they are alicorns they have a lot of power. so imagine a moon possibly inhabiting a past alicorn in it coming closer to equestria. i think it would definitely have an effect on their base powers

One thing one can bring into this whole theory of how the weather works in Equestria now, is one line from season 1 of g4 I believe, where they brought up how the Everfree Forest had it's own self-controled weather and other things. Maybe the weather in Equestria works like our normal weather in Earth, but since the ponies have the magic to mess with it and control it, they had such tight and strict control over it, all ponies back in g4 would never consider the weather doing it's own things on their own, afterall they had scheduled weathers, machines to fabricate clouds, lightnings and more. Maybe during the era where the magic was gone, the weather still acted on it's own to say and after many years the ponies during it's separation must have forgotten about it, since I do believe the ponies probably have the magic to mess with it, as we saw the unicorns do with the snow unintentionally, but they have yet to re-discover it and would be really cool if they show that this next chapter if the clips we see might hint at it.

I agree with you. Even back in G4, I recalled that there's no Pegasus controlling the weather outside of Equestria, like Griffonstone, for example. Equestria controls the weather not because there'll be no weather if they don't control it but because they want to reap the most benefit from the weather. In fact, back then, there was a whole discussion on Equestria's weather, suggesting that the Equestria's weather can probably work just fine without the Ponies controlling them, with many fans explaining that Equestria doesn't have a national irrigation system and that Ponies is a control freak. This is back in 2012! The Ponies even freak out at Everfree Forest just because it has its own strange environment and ecosystem that is independent from Pony's control or influence, as seen in MLP: FiM S1 E9 when the Mane 6 freak out at the mention of Everfree Forest. As they said, "The Everfree Forest just ain't natural; the plants grow and the animals care for themselves, and the clouds move all on their own." Notice how they say "it just ain't natural" when it's not under their influence. Applejack, whose family owns an apple farm, said, "It ain't natural because the plants grow for themselves." Think about her background, and that sums up the whole meaning behind their reasoning. Even back in 2012 or maybe 2013, there's a whole discussion of Equestrian Ponies being control freaks that try to impose a universal order across the land under their control, and it's supposedly against the virtue of harmony. The whole debate started because, back then, someone suggested that Discord was causing chaos in ancient Equestria because it was unnatural for them to control nature and wanted to bring back harmony until the two sisters imprisoned him in a statue for a thousand years, while he had awareness of his surroundings, which messed up with his memory and mind. After all, this is before the release of the first episode of MLP:FiM season 4, which aired at the end of 2013.

I think bridle wood is just an expansion of everfree forest I think imalou confirmed it on Twitter as it’s just the tree Fort of harmony expanded? I don’t know I’m just eyeballing it. 😂 also sunny is still neglecting the fact that nothing bad can happen to the magic and that infuriates me also I think the starlight chapter will be about opaline finding the dragons also love your vids needed somewhere to vent😅

@@dreezegh g4 I believe it was the season ten arc of the comics they showed the mane six going to different lands finding these elements and then discovered an organization that created these trees of harmony before a council of some kind came and sealed them away just like Equestria’s tree of harmony in a way but it doesn’t make sense because starswirl had created Equestria’s tree of harmony

I did a role play game once set in setting and we made jokes, "Imagine the world with out Pegasi or the Alicorns? Weather going all chaos and having to be heavily studied to just GUESS what it does next because it's so unpredictable. THe Sun and moon being all up and down at different times of the day. Sometimes up at the same time! It would be... Discordant!" (joking mostly on how it will be like it is IRL.)

Okay I hope this actually happens. (But before I start, this is all in my head so if you have any other thoughts about what the hell I'm gonna spew out of my keyboard I'm down to see what you think.) I hoped the city of loss Pegasus did crash down and turned the weather machine into like a Shangri-la. Where the Pegasus that used to live there (or the one's that didn't choose to leave). And are really up tight and back to there old ways of equestria and like really military focused, they don't know if they can fly or they can idk but they still know how to control weather but they use it for there selves and abuse it to no end and maybe are creating wendigos while there doing this cuz of all the negative emotion they have and the despair. Cuz they want to live in the clouds again. ( But I don't mind of what happens I just wanted to share my little head cannon with ya, hope you like it.)

(I might be wrong about this), while I can't find any references anymore (everything is so hyper-focused on G4 & 5 now on the internet), and it isn't very clear, I think I read somewhere that across the MLP generations, Pegasi were not always the ones controlling the weather. Only in G4 did they apparently have a group of Weather Ponies in G3, but I'm unsure what they actually did or controlled all the weather as a whole, and I think, unless I'm mistaken, I remember reading that in G1, it was a group of Unicorns that controlled the weather. Maybe, in theory, the truth is that no one truly controlled the weather in the Pony World. They just (artistically) manipulated it to some degree or something.

something i want to mention is: it doesnt make sense they cant fly because magic. does that mean birds cant fly? I get no unicorn magic because it needs magic but its not like the horn just falls off or cant be used to stab things to carry them. Wings wouldn't operate with magic (?)

I wonder if the thing that controls the moon is actually ON the moon? Ponies have been able to physically go to the moon so its not out of the question for the magic source to be on it. It wouldn’t really work for the sun however so idk for that one
