@@CecileYadro would the acrylic layer prevent a gouache layer on top of it from having the canvas appearance ? I’m a watercolor painter but decided to Ty gouache on canvas. I bought 100% cotton duck canvas already primed. It does have a fair amount of texture to it. I never thought that the texture could present a problem.

Sounds great! How do you do that?

@@CecileYadro It's a mixture of 4-5 parts gesso to 1 part baking soda BUT I haven't tried painting on the canvas YET. Time will tell if this works, plus I guesstimated the amounts.
