I agree completely. This anime adaptation is a horrific case of censorship. Why adapt a VN known for delving into the worst parts of the human psyche? Part of what made the VN compelling was everyone was so terrible that you dont really feel bad for the awful things that happen to them, as it is intended to activate that eye for an eye part of the human brain. By toning down how cruel the characters are, the anime adaptation makes them more sympathetic and it doesnt have that same bittersweet comeuppance vibe the original vn had. In the VN you're seeing terrible people get their just desserts. In the anime, you're watching people get treated like human garbage for being mild assholes.

Another thing to note is that she isn't a 'little kid', relatively speaking compared to the other teenagers, she is just short and a year younger, but she leans in to that to manipulate people. The teacher, Aoi Natsuki, functions as a sort of baseline to make the other characters look as bad as they actually are in most routs. Most of the characters are clearly written with some form of psychological issue in mind, from the MC's sexual sadism disorder, to Rika Makiba's narcissistic personality disorder, to Kanae Hokari's clear antisocial personality disorder, and Rinne Byakuya's schizoaffective disorder. Meanwhile Aoi Natsuki seems to be a functional well adjusted person with no notable psychological issues, with the exception of the true ending, where she seems to have a combination of cult member/Stalkholme syndrome.

I remember it so vividly because after that scene, I lost all sympathy for the protagonist. In that scene, he went from a morally decent person struggling to his desires, to finally giving in by indulging when he didn't have too, when it hurt her.

@potatoname8714 As someone into BDSM... like.. I am confused... "extreme" doesn't have to be BDSM at all, and even if it was, the safe and proper way to practice is to be aware of RACK (Risk Aware Consensual Kink) and also SSC (Safe, Sane and Consensual), along with some other acronyms (the main ones are these though). Also, "extreme" is a definition that will be different to everyone, depending on their thoughts and feelings, so what is extreme to one, is not to another. Of course being into BDSM and other kink doesn't inherently mean you are a bad person, it shouldn't even be posed as a question. One of the foundations of BDSM is consent, so if it isn't consensual, it isn't BDSM, and if it is practiced unsafely, it isn't actually good BDSM, or even BDSM, practicing unsafely is called being stupid with your decisions about life, that could potentially hurt you or others or even cause death. For instance, rope bondage has to be learned how to do it safely and properly, you need lessons on it before you practice it. There are a lot of nerves that could get pinched and a lot of places you should not tie rope on, and the knots have to be the right ones, the rope has to be the right type of rope, and a specific type of safety scissors need to be on hand, to cut the rope if something goes wrong, so only if you have learned can you actually know what is safe to do. "Just wing it and hope for the best", doesn't work with this practice, and many other practices, you need to know what is the safest way to do it and do what is consensual only. Knowledge is power in BDSM. Trust, communication, safety and consent are the big keys to good BDSM. So, I can only assume that the person posing the question of "does having preferences like BDSM make you inherently a bad person?" is a vanilla with the wrong stereotypes on what BDSM actually is and is about and can be like for a lot of kinky people.💀 I don't know anything about this anime and visual novel, however, I am kinky and know more about BDSM than it being "an extreme preference that could possibly mean you are a bad person" due to your fantasies and preferences... 💀Of course it doesn't inherently mean you are bad.. does that even need to be explained or stated? Those acronyms I said above make a lot of kinky people inherently more moral than "just wing it and hope for the best and hope that they want it and reciprocate even though I have no idea what I am doing" vanilla practices that pervade sex....💀 choking is getting into vanillas sex lives now, before it was a niche aspect of BDSM that not everyone was into, that had to be practiced with all the risks known, and learn all the safe ways to do it, and it be fully consensual with your partner, so ask first. But, now vanillas are doing it, but without the knowledge of how to do it, without the consent and without the safety precautions. That is vanillas doing this, without the rules and protocols that are inherent to the BDSM lifestyle and culture...💀that is not on us kinksters, that is bad practices that isn't actually safe or real BDSM, that pervade vanilla culture, it is vanillas trying to do kinky acts with the standards of vanilla, now THAT, is dangerous and bad... real BDSM, can be a lot of things, and not always extreme. So, a general view of BDSM always being extreme in a bad way, and always harmful is wrong, so of course, not everyone is inherently bad from liking kinky things. BDSM is a spectrum of different types, styles and intensities of kink. BTW, there are people into BDSM who hate pain and don't practice that, me being one of them. Like I stated in a different way, BDSM is many things to many people, pain doesn't have to be in your BDSM at all, it is only for sadists and masochists, which I am not either of those things. The practices and standards that pervade vanilla culture are more harmful and bad than the safe consensual BDSM kinksters, ironically.💀 If you want a good and realistic portrayal of BDSM and kink in a manga, I suggest the manga of Nana & Kaoru. Nana & Kaoru is a good representation of kink and BDSM, it is an ecchi manga. But don't watch the OVA, that is really bad.

@@AmazonRiderNeoLove Potato guy is wrong, the VN has nothing to do with BDSM (i'm also into it, and I can promise it has nothing to do with "do extreme preferences make you a bad person" or wtv). The VN is actually trying to answer the question "how far are you willing to go to find peace/happiness?" with each character finding it in different ways; religion, violence, willful ignorance, companionship, hope etc... and about the moral conundrum of how far are you willing to let others suffer for you to be happy. Don't get me wrong the VN absolutely has a bunch of shock value gratuitous extreme-fetish bull but the underlining philosophy of it is that "In the search of happiness absolute power corrupts absolutely and it's your duty to draw the line between brutality and euphoria"

That's because the people who are producing it are not doing well. *But there's also problems in the people who are watching it.* The people who make it, and the people who want it, they're always wanting the same things. They've been making *only similar things for the past ten years,* with no sense of urgency. To get it going once more, you need to force people to go outside, to go out again." Yes. Hideaki Anno, asked people to touch grass. 🌾👋🤯 Follow his advice. > "If you want to get into anime, my best advice to you as a creator is to *please have diverse interests in things besides animation.* Look outward, first of all. Most anime makers are basically autistic. They have to try and reach out, and truly communicate with others. I would guess that *the greatest thing anime has ever achieved* is the fact that we're holding a dialogue right here and now." > "Your tastes are constantly CONSTANTLY changing regardless of age. I've been watching anime and reading manga for over 30 years now and I wouldn't have that level of *continual appreciation* if I just stuck to what I liked when I was 4 or 17 or 25." > “I wanted to bring more of a sense of reality into this made-up world. I wanted to make the characters more human. People feel that Shinji is unusual in that sense. I think the sense of reality I brought *reflects my experience and knowledge.* But Shinji is not the only one who is a reflection of myself. All the characters have some part of me in them. As animation is made by a group of people, all the personalities in the characters are not just reflective of myself *but my group of creators.* Each of these characters depicts our combined personalities.”

And Ofc the staple of any good anime the Protagonist is a guy with black hair and eye color with a bland personality not to forget he is the only guy I will definitely not watch this anime 😑💀

I remember Corpse party having a prequel OVA about what the characters were doing before the game started, them doing ordinary-ish things before everything started getting a sense of what it was like before they went into the Evil Dead Loli edition (Corpse Party: Tortured souls). I would’ve liked to see something like that in euphoria. Seeing how peaceful everything was before the game, showing how they got kidnapped and getting a glimpse of them in a normal mundane life before everything got f**ked harder than Keisuke’s d**k in front of the electric chair in episode 1. Now i’m going to go prey to god my family never finds me watching this and erase my browser history…

Did this blew up on r/anime or something? The amount of normies in the comments is flabbergasting.
@AdzeАй бұрын
It's definitely a vocal minority in the comments. Despite the unusually big reach, the like ratio is only a bit lower than usual (93% vs the usual 97-100%)

@@Adze I just got here again after getting a notification that my comment received a like. I was also really surprised as to what happened here. It's cool that the video blew up, but man, some of these people really have a problem with our community. Looks almost like some kinda TikTok comments section now, especially with all that self censorship. Glad that you don't listen to them. I'm always really glad to see how open minded the VN community is so I hope we don't get overrun by normies.

i just like the last part in episode 3 it was passionate love and the last part in episode 6 where they live happily with there daughter. that is the only thing I like about Euphoria the rest scenes are just tortures and mental brekdown hard to watch

I never even heard of the other Euphoria until the Drake Kendrick thing. But yeah this series is trash. Still made for funny drunken watch party shock value with friends but we're pretty deranged. Also if you want even worse - Kowaku no Toki ep 4. Bondage Game is also pretty up there for a retro one.

Anime has become so popular, that it's become so divisive. You either get legit fans of Anime, or just Haters talking about Anime for Views. I was so ready to hate this video due to that Thumbnail and Title, thinking this was made by an Anti, but nah, it seems it wasn't a Hater. But an actual Fan.

Hello~! I am asexual and am not interested in the X parts of this video, but your voice and way you make videos is so interesting! but it's so frustrating to not know any of the parts you deem as spoilers because I, and probably many other people do not intend to play the game or watch the anime, want to know why its happening too! can you make a second video with spoilers about the game plot with visuals from the anime if need be? just cause I wanna know the whole reason behind what you said! and what military! what is nemus reasoning! etc!

Certain language is far more likely to get you demonetized in the first minute or two of a video. After that point, it becomes a lot safer. I think the weasel wording a lot of KZbinrs do would harm the quality of my videos (which is why I swear and use plenty of other spicy words rather than playing it safe), but that doesn't mean I'm going to to open the video by basically saying "Hey KZbin, please don't give me any money for this video!"

I think I may have seen that video. I definitely would recommend the VN (assuming you can handle it, of course). Around 95% of the interesting things the adaptation does are actually properly explored and even though the plot is pretty cryptic, you do actually eventually find out all the layers to what's going on. It also has a lot of moments where certain things take on entirely new meanings once you know the truth and that's a writing thing I really like.

So a coworker on my workplace keep talking about this one as he want ro cosplay as the main character.. even with him showing his image i still dont know who the character is As i never heard or read/watch it till i meet him because we talked about anime at 1 day or cosplay and stared talking about this one the way he explained chould be literly any OTHER anime about School teenage stuck in a death game with challance to do and if they dont get punishment or not challance but chouce ect i Literly told him " it sound like King's Game or tomodaahi game or other one i read before like with the animal head trail " either way i did say there at least 20 different types that all have something with School teenage/death gaem/punishment/traul so saying it like that makes me think of different anime/manga but calling one i never heard of before or know then it will be harder to explain what the anime about. Another coworker heard our talked and asked the same wat the anime her was talking about, he once again said the same thing ehat he said to me and even the other coworker he said "Sound like King's Game or tomodashi game but there so many too with that same type it hard to tell what anime/manga you talk about" and you chould see both me and he didnt know about this one but knew both the same other 2 anime/manga

Great video. I definitely do want to read the VN. Is there a particular route order that you would recommend?
@Adze3 ай бұрын
It doesn't matter a whole lot, but I would recommend Natsuki first and Nemu as the last of the main 4 (Kanae is locked until you do all other routes). I would also recommend getting the Brute ending after doing Nemu and before Kanae (you may have to look that one up since it's harder to land on than other endings. Fuwanovel has a good spoiler-free walkthrough). There's also a common route and a bunch of bad endings. I'd recommend seeing the bad endings on the true route because they do some neat things, all the others don't matter a whole lot either way. Good luck with Tubes btw. I literally almost threw up when I first read that scene and it didn't help that the voicework was amazing because that just made it hit even harder.
@laughatdarkness12863 ай бұрын
For me nemus scene was worse than the tubes scene. The tubes dint bother me much but her eating chocolate ice cream almost broke me
