I was one week from giving birth to my daughter and still not certain on a name- it was Christmas night 2023 my husband and I were watching a 1970’s Johnny Cash Christmas special and the Everly Brother’s performed. Well, one week later Everly Ann was born on New Year’s Day, first baby born in 2024 in our county. Everly is 4 months old now, so beautiful, and we are so thankful we found the perfect name. Have a great day, thank you for reading!

They were so perfectly synchronized. Their harmonies and body language matched. They shared one microphone. Each leaned into it, and away from it, simultaneously to get the most emotion from the lyrics. What an art. I'm old now, but grew up with their music. These old videos are the last vestiges of an era gone by.

At 78 years of age I grew up and was a great lover of real music and real singers from the 50's & 60's as well as some great music from the 70's. In my opinion Don & Phil were the greatest harmony duo of all time. Others were great too, but none better. I often share music from that era with my grandchildren and they really enjoy it. Hopefully, great music such as this will return some time but probably not in my lifetime. Meanwhile, through this media, we can enjoy this great music from the past.

This is the music that entertained two 15 year-olds on the jukeboxes, in the transport cafes, as they cycle toured the south of England in 1959, sleeping in a tent. It was a VERY different time and I consider myself very fortunate have enjoyed it.

Great memories! I'm English, same age too and will never forget the thrill of seaside jukeboxes (some more entertaining than others). What joy eagerly scanning for a favourite 78rpm or later, 45rpm record - not 'disc' in UK then. These are memories for us to cherish forever, just as our music is - we'll never be old listening to gems like this.

In one reply that you received this person speaking of Buddy Holly & Ritchie Valens dying way too soon. Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper were touring in the U.S. together. They (the three) decided to charter a private flight to the next city rather than take the slower tour bus with there fellow band mates. The plane crashed after encountering bad weather. All three perished. Black & white photos of the crash are available with a google search last time I looked. Fast forward to 1972 - Dan McLean released a song called "American Pie", It stayed in the top 10, AM radio for some time. The song is a tribute to the three (3). The lyrics make reference to, " the day the music died".

Ja, schöne Menschen entstellt nichts. Am besten sieht man es auch, wenn die Haare ganz kurz sind und nichts mehr versteckt werden kann.

I believe this (19:35) was their reunion at the Royal Albert Hall, 1983. I remember an interview with Tom Petty at the time saying they'd flown over from LA for the concert and would do it again tomorrow. I believe that's Albert Lee behind them!

The songwriting couple, Felice and Boudleaux Bryant, almost exclusive to the Everly’s, had a great deal to do with their successes.

Thank you gor this video. O love♥️ the Everly Brothers. I grew up listening to them. In the 90's the Everly Brothers and the Beach Boys came to Boise. Their concerts were the same day and only a few miles apart so it was hard to choose which one to go to. I finally choose the Everly Brothers. The funny thing was the Beach Boys were late to concert!! Because they were at the Everly Brothers concert!!! Ot was in the newspapers here!! It just goes to show, even the Beach Boys loved the Everly Brothers. It was a wonderful concert. I will never forget it.♥️♥️♥️ The EB were great!!
