In Ep. 6 at 2:59 you removed all the shift pins with the gears at the same time. In this episode you inserted them individually after the gears were set in place. Perhaps this helps explain why the transmission is not working correctly. It would suggest the springs and balls don't align correctly to receive the pins if the gears are in place.

On the blue Subie - what i did on my track one that I used to have, You can undue all clips underneath, it will have enough slack where you can move the whole harness towards you and above and then zip tie it. You wont have to worry about the wheel hitting the harness again.

Im not a transmission expert but Ive had a few apart, make sure the rods are on the right hole, also make sure the grooves on the rods are facing the right way, Take the little balls back out and make sure they are all the same diameter. Dumb little things like that can give you a lot of trouble. Try not to jam the rods 2 hard as it will create imperfections on the hole and that can also fuck it up. They should slide in with ease. You got this!!

The brake caliper compressor too will work you just have to set it on the brake the correct way, im not sure i could walk you through it with words but look up video on the product and watch how they use it. You could also need a double caliber compressor in which case it looks just like that but double sided and same advice implies. Love the work keep it up

Bolt the transmission back together and add fluid it’s dry. Fill it and it should be ok you have checked everything dozens of times. It’s been sitting without any fluids and not turning it’s going to act different then when it has all the fluids and turning

“The man who asks a question is a fool For a minute. The man who does not as is a fool For life” I think you should get some proper advice on that transmission. You’ve already smashed it and left your comfort zone so far behind with this build. There is no shame in admitting defeat, especially with something as complex and important as a transmission.
