+Diviance I mean, in retrospect you can't really say he didn't act like the joker. There's so many different versions of him. Look at Heath ledger, that joker didn't act like the joker at all in my opinion but it still became arguably one of the greatest portrayals of him. The only failure with Leto was with the writers, they are the ones that fucked that up. But it was a gamble, just like with ledgers joker, they wanted to make a new version and hope it turned out good. They failed. Just my opinion though.

I don' t understand why you all say that Jared Leto was the worst joker. He's a very good actor, and for the little he appeared in Suicide Squad, he did a great job! He managed to give madness, obsession and possession to their version of the Joker. And I don' t speak for his physical appearance, which despite everything is modern and also attractive, but that is why he managed to convey in his interpretation. Honestly, he was one of my favorite Joker, after Heath Ledger...

Leto and heath both had extremely different jokers, and both performed theirs perfectly. No comparison can be made due to the differences. Heath definitely did leave a high standard to his type, and we'll see if leto can do better in the future.

I love the theory that the original Joker died, and drove Robin insane to the point that he became a new Joker-- hence all the tryhard tattoos, general mania and sexy youth. To back it up, Robin's suit can be seen in the batcave in BvS, burned and broken, with "HaHaHA"'s spraypainted all over it.

It's a prostethic, but it was actually made from Nicholson's real face. Which means he can actually smile like that. But they used the prostethic so that he could talk easier while smiling and so that he wouldn't have to keep the smile up himself the entire time.

I never realized how bad Suicide Squad ruined so many characters. Joker isn't suppose to be "attractive" or a "gangster". He's suppose to be a formal suited crazy ass clown. The King of Clowns! He has a sick twisted way for having fun and expressing it with explosions of toxic gas. And he doesn't give a crap about Harley Quinn. She's just a toy for him to use. He actually put a bomb on Harley and didn't hesitate to do so just to save his own ass. It sounds weird, but the only thing Joker really actually cares about is the never ending game of outwits between him and Batman. And that's what makes Suicide Squad's Joker a complete fail. Fangirls of Suicide Squad can go suck a nut of lies.

- Mark Hamill is the undisputed king of Jokers - Troy Baker is a close second and the now prince seeing as Mark has given up the role - Kevin Micheal Richardson was an amazingly unique take on Joker and left one hell of an impact - Heath Ledger was a pretty good Joker seeing as he single handedly improvised the only real Joker moment in that entire movie and did so wonderfully - Jared Leto is shit.

Not to mention he was a complete ass of a person while preparing to play the character. He said he was method acting by "doing things the Joker would do", this was complete bullshit but anyway, he starting sending people dead rats and filled condoms while also laughing in public restaurants and trying to gauge people's creeped outness per laugh. Essentially he's a prick of a person and a Joker who instead of being the clown prince of crime is a Marylyn Manson reject from the tattoo parlour.

Cesar Romero and Jack Nicholson were the BEST. The humor that they imparted, and the true sense of insanity was evident in both. They did things for the sake of doing them. There was no motive, no apocalyptic intentions, just pure and utter chaos for the sake of it. THAT’S who The Joker really is. Also, Romero breathed a breath of life into the character, and has been the template for decades. And naturally so, because he was the FIRST.
