IMHO: Five to Six seasons is the perfect length for a tv show, IF at least Five to six books exists to support it. Anything else becomes tedious and repetitive. Examples like Walking dead and SG1 support my claim :)

Alex was my favorite character. The character is so lovely and caring. I feel even worse after hearing this. If there is anyway just one season left, they could have just finished the show. This way Amazon punish the fans as well, who loose a beloved character with all the plot potential burried with him. In a democratic country courts, judges and lawyers may handle such accusations... but definetly not a production company. As long as he made his job well - and he definetely did.

@@salomel6805 Oh, I WANT to. But I want to get a complete collection of all the books of the series and I thought there was one more book to be published yet? Either that or there IS a final novel, but it is not part of the collection of _The Expanse_ novels I can find online. Beyond that I have watched the series so far with absolutely no idea of what is going to happen next. So the whole Marco Inaros story - no spoilers - took me totally by surprise. Additionally, Camina Drummer (one of my favourite characters) is only a minor character in the novels. Her character is a combination of other characters who have either been replaced totally or relegated to minor characters, Alex Kamal doesn't die in the novels (at least not at this stage of the story) and I believe there are other differences between the books and the TV series as well. Reading the books at this stage would only confuse me and spoil any surprises yet to come. I will buy the complete collection of novels, but I will wait until the series wraps up first after season 6. How did you find reading the books prior to watching the TV series (old school term, I know)? Was it confusing? Besides writing out Cas Anvar I'm guessing there weren't any real surprises for you. Is the "TV adaptation" living up to the book? Is there any chance it is surpassing the book in your opinion?

@@Locutus.Borg. If you're still asking, yes there are one final book and novella that hasn't been published yet. I started reading the books when I wait for S5. Caught up to book 5 (S5 materials) just before S5 finale. From that, the last scene of 510 was exactly the same as the epilogue of book 5. Now I'm in the last 10 chapters of book 8. Some things are better explained in the books, thus add more context to the show's events. Some are improved in the show. I'd say that both books and show completed each other and I considered both platforms as a full experience. Regarding Alex, yeah it's quite weird reading his parts in the books after the event in the S5 finale. I can"t really share anymore thoughts about this matter without mentioning any events in the book though.

I'm happy to wait and rediscover the series in novel form after season 6 if that's what it takes. That way I can appreciate them each separately. I know I will be disappointed to miss out on the Camina Drummer character in the novels as she is only a minor character in the books. I look forward to what Alex Kamal might yet have accomplished in season 6 before he was shot down by the PC police. Thanks for keeping SPOILERS out for all fans concerned. A few years later now, Cas Anvar has hardly worked as an actor since his debacle. He was apparently shunned. But, the only one of the cast who has often worked as an actor since The Expanse is Thomas Jane, It's noteworthy that few of the other actors have made much of a living as actors since. Cara Gee and Wes Chatham have worked some, though less than Jane. Concerning Chatham's forearm's tattoo (7:51), I finally found a convincing explanation of it, in a thread on Reddit.

Nice to see, and I think all the women actors with prominent roles are even more attractive outside their Expanse character. From Monica to Avasarala. Especially for Frankie Adams and Cara Gee who seem naturally sunny, happy, smiling gals in real life. And Dominique Tipper, though her character isn't a favorite of mine - is just so vital a presence. I understand she is also a superb dancer and singer.. Also, that scene of Amos slipping back down into the elevator maintenance shaft after he suplexed "Tiny" down it, I wish I could seen more of that! Wes Chatham must really trust the wire team working the show's stunts.

You’re misrepresenting the situation. There were many women who made complaints, not just one. Plus, he was accused to harassing and threatening women, not just “chatting” them up. The production company hired an outside firm to do an investigation of the accusations and they confirmed that the accusations had substance. So, it wasn’t just a he-said/she-said situation. There was evidence. Bright guy to leave an electronic trail. Get your facts straight and stop minimizing and making excuses for bad male behavior.

The production company actually did the right thing and made sure the accusations were genuine before taking action. While it's still not a guarantee that harassment was being conducted, he obviously put himself in a bad situation.

Why anyone would publish accusations on Twitter rather than take them to the police is beyond me, but I've trawled through the ones that were still up on the Reddit post and nothing struck me as particularly bad. In a lot of cases the 'victim' was being just as flirtatious. One thing I do know is that, as the father of a young daughter, if she doesn't understand that it's a bad idea to go to a hotel room at night, or get into a car, with a complete stranger, I've done a terrible job of raising her.
