I absolutely love the way her character is not even once minimized for her femininity. Everyone who watched this show would agree she has never looked weak or fragile. If you haven't seen "House of Sand and Fog" I recommend it most highly. She was Oscar-nominated for it - deservedly, in my opinion - and remains the only Persian-born actress ever nominated for an Academy Award. She's so good that she's even perfect in scenes where she's in the background. Oh, and Season 4 of "24" features her in a major guest role that the fans eventually dubbed - quite fondly - "Terror Mom".
