I liked the part about learning how to cultivate the group mind because I tend to be more individualistic. The sequence to acknowledge, repeat, rephrase, elaborate has often seemed mechanical to me. I decided to listen better to others and take “cues” from them and be more cohesive and cooperative in the the direction of a conversation instead of hijacking it.

awesome. but the brain to computer comparison doesn't hold true. her own example shows that the computer too is influenced by its surroundings. they are very similar. think of electromagnetics etc. if it were as complex as the brain so the number of influences would go up. getting more and more supple.
