Thanks Gabriel. Very kind. And a sound idea, too, re Steve M. I'll see if I can awaken him from his slumbers.

This channel is top class. Perhaps Peter might like to say something about DSJ, Motorsports Magazine's late F1 correspondent.

Rain lights should be on the front and sides as well. if cars would be visible regardless of their angle on track, we could have raced on Spa.

It was released on october 15. Honestly I don't see the point in releasing short interviews like this 1 month apart, it really sucks for the viewers. I'm a fan of the channel but doing this just to keep the releases going for the sake of the youtube algorithm is an insult to subscribers.

@@Aggnog It's how KZbin demands content unfortunately. They like shorter videos more frequently and reward content creators with recommendations and revenue accordingly.

Thomas hits the nail on the head. Vitamin M is a just reward for all the excellent content on this channel so if YT says jump - you jump. Seems obvious to me.

I've always thought of an F1 steering wheel as a laptop and the cockpit as a racers office. Very True

I'm surprised they are just "talking about" Silicon Carbide inverters and don't have them running already. It is fairly well known in the semiconductor industry that silicon carbide as the semiconductor has advantages in power transistors. It isn't the predominant material in use today, but it is already growing as the EV industry looks at it. There will be an issue if it wants to become mainstream though, as there are not many fabs that can run it, and wafer size is constricted to about 6" currently and runs on a mix of 4"-6" wafers. This will mean even more volume issues if demand ramps up as 6" tools for manufacture are like hen's teeth and are old technology and usually old tools (circa 1980's to mid 90's vintage).

Wait, McLaren supplies the screens but McLaren couldn’t build Fernando a steering wheel in time for the Indianapolis 500, which Zack Brown said help contribute to him not qualifying for the race?
@xalash
@xalash 3 жыл бұрын
They borrowed a steering wheel. I think the point of mentioning the last-minute repaint and the lack of a steering wheel was to show that they were not giving 100% to the project.

They should talk about how this all started. Its an interesting history and the roots are in Germany. I was involved in some very early developments.

Secretly my inner geek would love to see a race series for self driving EVs. Probably rally rather than track based though as manufacturers would learn more about creating self driving road cars.

I realize that these days we need female commentators, but Sky Sports has just got to lose Eliza Doolittle (Rachel Brookes). ...Mumble, mumble, mumble. Her empty questions, inane comments and mumbling speech patterns add nothing of value nor interest. Perhaps professor 'Enry 'Iggins may be the only person that can possibly translate what she is saying. ...mumble, mumble. Wake up Sky, remove her and find yourselves another female.

Well at least Rachel Brookes knows something about F1 and is a fan of the sport - did you see Sky Sports interview with Jonny Herbert on the 22nd of this month? Luckily Jonny escaped being questioned "in-person" by the 2 "F1" presenters involved. Where Sky found those 2 I don't know.......

@@peterh9238 I can't disagree with you about the grid walks. Martin Brundle made the transition from racing to the media better than most drivers. You'd struggle to find any ex-F1 driver (I can't think of any British drivers) in the media, who have Martin's level of confidence, knowledge of the sport and its people that he has. He takes all that on his grid-walks and he knows when to be a bit cheeky, when being a bit pushy will (or might) get what's needed, when to back-off, or when to leave people alone. In his media role, Martin (I would guess) is (rightly) more repected than any other ex-F1 driver (by us fans, by drivers, and those involved in the sport) than anyone I can think of.
