F4E is great until you face a j7E, competent mirage f1, MiG 23ML, or a decent su25T pilot lol. Pretty potent in a down tier too.

The 23ML’s flight model is getting a nerf and sorry but, nah the Su-25 even with R-73’s doesn’t beat a Phantom. Also I’ve had no problems with Mirage F-1’s personally

I'm really interested to see how the MiG 23 nerfs will shake up the 11.0-11.3 meta, cause at the moment I agree with you, at 11.0 or above its fine until someone competent shows up in a 23 or a Viggen

@@nimbal3304ikr that’s literally the reason I haven’t touched the f4E in a while. I think the MLD would still be good wish it’s leading edge slats in the rate but all of the 23s getting rate performance nerfed. Someone found some reports that basically said the MiG 23’s performance with the wings all the way out wasn’t good at all which was shocking. So we’ll see.

The F-4 on your RWR was most likely the F-1. T-2 and F-1 have their radars from an F-4

If this thing ever gets its Aim-9L's or Aim-7f's, it'll be bloody awesome in WT. I love flying this thing in a downtier, uptier it starts to suck. An avionics/ armament upgrade would definitely make it fit in that higher BR.

this combined with Mavericks on those PvE guys. good range in headons, no flares will save Your target, no chaff can distract them. only downside is a max 4G overload

without agile eagle, it cant maneuver at all the f4e can outturn a max fuel f16 at 2m of fuel and the radar isnt a big problem at the br. f4e is better imo

Any tips on using the aim7s? It's near impossible to lock anybody that isn't at altitude which everybody is always hugging the deck. Looking at DCS now, although their missiles aren't the best due to being able to heat track through clouds their ground radar doesn't nearly disrupt sparrow useage as warthunder's does.

which F4E are you flying? the isreali one i think is the best since it gets aim9G's instead of J's and the japanese Ej variant is by far the worst since it gets normal aim7E's and worse rwr and no wing slats

@@ratze7723 i meant the 11.0 phantoms or in air simulator 10.7 yes i heard of it but its basically f16 weapons radar and rwr on a phantom and trust me the stock grind is not fucking worth i have it spaded

@@ratze7723 Yeah but at 11.7 you're fighting way more capable plane with the same missile, while you're still stuck in a F4 chassis with no wing slat

Kurnaas has better IR missiles but doesn't have the AE slats from the US F-4E.
