In this one I play the F8E and oh boy oh boy your gonna have fun when your in this if there is a MIG its dead If there is a lvl 50 premium plane he is dead every one will die if your in this thing with a good attitude

I think this aircraft really came into its own when the max battle ratings got moves up to 11.7 and 12, so this aircraft did not get dragged into top BR matches.

I still wish they include the XF8U3 into the game. XF8U3 basically took the F8 crusader, fit a F105 engine into it, and added 3 weapon stations for the AIM-7. According to some test pilots, best plane ever.

I hate this plane but 100% its a skill issue on my part. This thing is maneuverable, it has alright missiles, it holds speed well, and it has countermeasures but theres just so many things I hate about it: 1. Guns jam if you blink at them too hard 2. Wings snap easily at lower altitudes 3. Its still generally slower than other jets at its br 4. Landing flaps make you go up too much when trying to go down 5. No drag chute when landing 6. It is a large target 7. The stock guns and missiles are quite bad for its br I could just fly it better, go easier on the guns, and use my missiles better but I don't feel like putting in extra effort just to fly a crusader

So, the French Crusader is incredibly bad. Mostly because it only has access to two pylons to carry missiles, and has no countermeasures at 10.0.

Guys the wings rip when u are going over 985 km/h on the f8u with an aggressive (the game will show u a text:extreme overloading") turn so u just need to slow down (I usually use airbrake)before fighting, in the f8e there is no problem bcus the plane has stronger wings👍👍 good luck everybody and sorry for my english

the last gunfighter produced, finally someone who said it correctly, because the true last gunfighter is the North Korean MiG19S. I would love to get the f8u because its 10.0 currently but that thing has no AOA limiter and will pull 18G's out of the nowhere and snap it's wings. However to fight MiG21s i pick the F-4C, it's fantastic at dodging r60s and has the energy retention that F8 lacks. I've dog fought one of the best mig21 pilots in the game and f-4c absolutely toys with the mig21 smt, the problem is that vulcan will mostly tickle planes while gsh23l cuts your plane in half if a bullet connects. It hasn't been affected by realshatter as much as other guns because Gaijin saw MiG21 SPS/S and 23ML were making big cash, same for ADENS which got buffed while DEFA are useless despite in the past they were the same, because of av8a market hit.

@@cola-warthunder you hold your speed very well and can keep zig zagging for long time making the r60 bleed a lot of speed. It's finicky but surely it's better at it than most planes without flares F-4C definitely out rates the MiG21 SMT and runs circles around it, mig21 bis might extend away but so does the Phantom. In a fair duel the f-4c will always win if played correctly. Just avoid the one circle and going vertical when the mig is still fast. Needles to say this doesn't keep the f4c out from being useless garbage.

@@kingghidorah8106 that method falls under the "kinetical defeat", not "dodge" category. Also if it's a launch within 1.2km nothing will save you. About the dogfight I still have a hard time believing the f4c outrates an SMT. One, the f4c might have good engines, decent MER, but it's still a heavy brick. Energy traps at this tier are pretty much irrelevant as any plane can stand on it's engines and helicopter to you, and if they launch a missile there you're gone. In fact I'm pretty sure the smt easily pulls into the F-4C not just in the first turn, but, like, in the first five turns and that's more than enough to kill it. Add to that that nobody in the community ever said that before you... just please tell me you're trolling.

The only problem with this plane is the outreageous fuel burn. Burns faster than anything else ive flown. Su7s, MiG 29s, F14s, Milans, It burns so fast. 30min will last you about 8 min at full AB.
