On the right side was a playground, and on the left was the path to the city beach. I don't have a single good memory of the USSR, but thank you for reminding me of my childhood with this photo. As someone who never played the original games it's still so impressive what they managed to acheive in 2007 with the small budget they had! Im very hyped for stalker 2 but i am slightly worried about the fact that review outlets have only been able to play just the prologue and not a complete review copy and after being burned with cyberpunk my spidersense is tingling... hopefully I'm wrong and either way I'll buy it because the devs deserve it for producing an amazing looking product despite all the harships endured during development.

If you guys loved the trilogy here are some mods that in my opinion captured the mysterious feeling of the trilogy(also all standalone): Made by Jekan: Return to the Zone(3 story campaigns and a story extraction mode(surprisingly good I normally don't like extraction modes but this one... Loved it)), Goldensphere OGSR(based on Roadside Picnic), OGSR Legacy(pretty much a remake of ShoC with lots of cut content and user made content). Team V.I.V.E.N.T.: Incubator, Dreamcatcher(sequel to Incubator and a lot longer). They have more great mods but they still are hard to understand Machine translations. zaurus' crew: Apocalipsis Trilogy OGSR, Fallen star(also called "Der gefallene Stern" sequel to A-Trilogy), Last STALKER(sequel to Fallen Star) Creators/teams I forgot the name of: True Stalker(if you don't mind cutscene glassjaw), Dollchan infinity, Road to the north(story/free play hybrid, main story starts at Skadovsk), Path in the Mist, Wind of Time(it starts with timetravel from the year 2114 back to 2014 and has some big twists)

Wanna try some Zone Sportsmanship Challenges? 1:28 / 1:41 At least the average American would know to use a shotgun loaded with buckshot against a bloodsucker. }:-P Seriously, even the sawed-off Mad Max gun does a better job than any 5.45 or 5.56 assault rifle. The only rifle caliber that hits hard enough to be used in place of 12-gauge buckshot is 9x39. Forget 7.62x54R. If we're talking 'nilla ShoC, that is. 4:13 One of my favorite sounds is what I call "the pig in the sky." You'll know it when you hear it. It makes me think that the entire sky is a fleshpig, or that maybe we're all living inside the bulging eyeball of a fleshpig. Or maybe the entire universe is inside the eyeball of a fleshpig, and if there's a multiverse, then it's made out of fleshpigs! 🙃 11:40 Skinflint does in 'nilla ShoC, but it makes sense because Freedom are "anarchists" and don't have the financial connections other factions have that allow traders to have the funds that they have. 11:50 Right?! S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, even more so than the other core Zone games, is the standard-setter for that sort of thing, even to the point of having the right stuff on the correct side of the screen. The other Zone games transpose those for no reason. If we read from left to right, then our inventory should be situated screen-left. 12:18 You can pretend that you're hauling a wheelbarrow while doing that. Back when functional vehicles were going to be a thing in the Zone, the idea was for them to have built-in cargo stashes with payload limits. The KAMAZ would have been able the haul the heaviest payload. Some mods reintroduce vehicles, and some do a better job than others. Oblivion Lost did it better than Lost Alpha if you ask me. Lost Alpha had vehicles with built-in stashes, but the vehicles controlled like they had almost no weight to them. In Oblivion Lost, vehicles didn't have built-in stashes, but you could use slot-2 weapons while driving. 13:51 Or anything in 9x39mm. Has what some of us 'Muricans call a "shuttlecock" trajectory. But that's okay, because it's made to be heavy, slow, and subsonic. 14:09 The real-world term for "bullet spread" is "minute of angle" or "MoA." 19:44 I've always wanted to experience the Zone as a fleshpig. 🤪

@Salvaqe3 ай бұрын
Go in raw, see if you like the gameplay and if not I'd think about installing mods. I enjoy playing the games the way they were originally intended but a lot of people don't like the bullet spread and how random it is so they install mods like gunslinger. It's definitely not required but some people can't get behind the old game mechanics and jank so do as you see fit.

@@TheYamiksactually full A-Life wasn't realised. Yes stalkers and mutants move offline and do their thing, but they didn't have their full scope of their own objectives. Yes they hunt artifacts from time to time, but yeah there was actually supposed to be much more. For example stalkers were actually supposed to also trade with traders with the stuff they found and fought for in the wide world, thus diversifying their inventory. They could also be on their way to do public repeatable quests. If they found that something first they would announce it tho and you COULD ambush them on their way to the quest giver and steal the requested items. Only one mod realised all those features called Oblivion Lost Remake 3.0. But they also added lots of tedious stuff that now other modders are modding out.
