Duude, this is one of the best videos you've ever made! but it is also making me so unbelievably sad because Disney has been part of my life since I was a tiny little child and all of those stories were part of my development as a person and the idea that they will bury themselves into a million remakes and sequels now without creating those original loving stories they were known for... it just hurts me deeply. I hope someone listens.

Disney, there’s a fine difference between wanting to bring representation for minorities and actually using us for self-gain. Back then, the black community barely had any representation, seeing Rodger&Hammersteins Cinderella along with many other remakes that catered to the community was a breathe of fresh air, and those movies will be remembered for doing what wasn’t common. Now it’s been overdone, and it’s time to make something original if they’re going to keep up with other companies getting ahead of them in the long run.

This video is a work of art. Maybe if Disney hits hard financial straights, maybe they'll sell off some IP. In the meantime, Congress really ought to pass a law saying if you're a movie studio, you can't own a streaming service. Movie studios ain't allowed to own movie theaters and only play their own films, right? Doing that for streaming services would have huge benefits for streaming consumers.
@arc8216 Жыл бұрын
In terms of politics you can tell in the more recent movies they're just running down a checklist of modern cliches to add to IPs. The badass female who kicks butt, the elderly white guy who the writers really wants you to hate. Sure you can do that but in every single damn movie? I thought the whole point of diversity is to showcase new perspectives not do the same thing over and over again.

I think Disneys does not realise, how much they are in trouble. The current crises will affect sooner or later the disney parks. The disney parks main selling points are the ips. And if the ips are not special anymore than they have no advantage to the competition. Universal studios for example has its own strong ips and has ambitions. Even in europe Disney may suddenly not be the most visited parc anymore. I think Disney does not realise how damaging the current creativity crisis is.

This hits the nail on the head. Disney doesn't care about quality story-telling anymore, which flabbergast me, as shelf-life plays such an important role in keeping that company going. Think how many of us bought DVDs to replace our classic Disney videos, then blu-rays to replace the DVDs, etc.

Moon Knight is very mediocre, its only fans are Marvel fangirls who just think Oscar Isaac is hot. I agree with u cause i have said bob iger’s shopping spree is the root of a lot of Disney’s problems cause if felt like he doesn’t agree with having competition so he went on his shopping spree buying up Disney’s competition and those who wouldn’t sell to him he tried crushing at the box office by demanding a ridiculous amount of screens to be able to have a Disney owned property playing at your theater making it harder for other competitors to get their movies on a decent amount of screens and if a reporter tried calling bob out for this the company would put the publication on a time out banned listing from being invited to press events cause bob didn’t want the company views in a negative light then u have what has been dubbed the Disney adults who are fanboys and fangirls who are blindly loyal to the company and will verbally fight u if u try and tell them the truth about Disney and bob chapek isn’t that much better cause instead of trying to eliminate there competition st the box office he tried it with Disney+ pumping way to much money into the streaming platform with the quantity over quality business model then fudging the book to make it look like the practice was successful when in reality it was a failure so investors would still invest in the platform

I like how you said that Kathleen Kennedy's politics really dont have anything to do with it despite other reviewers touting that Disney is destroying itself for "the agenda". I think they are hiring people to run projects who are unqualified/don't have any interest in the legacy franchises they're working on. More like its a nice padding to their resumé and then they'll move on to something they're actually passionate about once they've done their 2-3year stint. These projects were done with massive respect to the characters and lore of the universe, it feels soulless when you grab someone who doesn't have the same inclination to do either, obviously you'll get subpar corporate drivel instead of fresh, original stories.

And what’s killing marvel is Kevin Fiege he did not save marvel. He’s destroying it with Captain Marvel, from being nuked Tell endgame was someone else it was not Kevin Fiege is not the savior you think he is. He is the one that is responsible for bringing it down and burning it. You really want to give somebody who is responsible for creating the MCU and for making it great you need to go to Lucas film and look up a guy named John Fabrow. He started it all with Iron Man.

I'm curious. If it was Warner Bros who bought Lucasfilms instead of Disney, would Star Wars be in a better place?
@TheFirstOkiro Жыл бұрын
I think if Warner Bros bought lucafilm, it would’ve been better in the long run for everyone WB needed a franchise to push after Harry Potter. It’s why they forced out fantastic beasts and rushed the DCEU but if they bought Star Wars they would’ve had an established franchise already. WB wouldn’t have phased out George Lucas. They wouldn’t have carded about transforming the brand like Iger did. So George would’ve written the story with Michael Arndt and had JJ Abrams direct like he initially wanted Kathleen Kennedy was only made president due to Iger phasing out George, so she would’ve remained co-chairman and mainly responsible for the business. So no creative team or story group with their transparent chip on their shoulders The DCEU would’ve been allowed to take its time and not deal with micromanaging thanks to Star Wars being their main franchise Disney wouldn’t have to worry about managing lucafilm and could focus on solely Marvel and the Fox buyout WB also isn’t as bad with release dates as Disney, which means JJ would’ve stayed with George and there would’ve been a consistent team for the sequels Overall both Disney and WB would’ve been better if WB bought lucafilm over Disney
@ManiacMayhem7256 Жыл бұрын
@@TheFirstOkiro A few other things about if WB bought it. While Lucas sequel plans they'd of likely abided by to some extent would've overwritten much of Legends post episode VI (TCW already contradicted much of Legends), Warner Bros likely would've never rendered Legends as non Canon. Instead, they'd of likely had done a dual timeline system, a small scale version of what they already do for DC. With the new trilogy and TCW in one timeline, and some parts of Legends in others. Speaking of, we'd likely get animated EU direct to DVD movies and TV shows, of many different periods. There also wouldn't be so much overflooding of content, as WB wouldn't be trying to push any streaming platform like Disney is. Overall, I agree, while there'd still be big issues, overall things would've gone better
@TheFirstOkiro Жыл бұрын
@@ManiacMayhem7256 Honestly yeah. I forgot all about Legends for a moment. WB would’ve just done what they do with DC as you said and just kept producing it as it’s own thing in comics, films and novels. We also would’ve had WB’s superior game devs as well. Biggest is we would’ve avoided Disney’s cutthroat marketing and social media presence of gas lighting and attack dog employees.

I always ask questions. I want the truth I consider myself a detective (at least in spirit anyways) and will always look for the truth even if it is the most unsettling truth. I won’t be inclusive if it is just for quotas. I will only seek the best, most qualified for the job. I care about the quality of the job. Feminism is evil. I don’t care about money personally if I make a billion dollars in profit on a movie I’ll put it in: the movie industry, animation industry and the theme park industry. I’m pretty sure I could run the Disney studio as well as Walt Disney. If I was in charge I’d do the following: 1. I’d the sell Marvel to universal as well as the Fox deal to universal in exchange for $ billions of dollars. (Or Perhaps in exchange for some licensee.) 2.Rehire all Lucas film employee’s/retcon the sequel trilogy and make a new one. 3.Make new 2-D hand drawn animated films. 4. Allow creative freedom that the Walt Disney era had. 5.Make Oswald shorts, and put him in the lime light. Mickey is Walt’s reflection of himself. I say Oswald a reflection of myself. 6.Make Epcot (Walt’s original idea) however with a few tweaks. 7.Remove feminist ideals from storytelling. 8.Make original shorts 9. Find and make animated features of other cultures. 10.Make films cost no more than $100,000 k 11. Hire C-D list or broadway actors for the Disney Studio animated features and don’t allow Hollywood names 12. Add new gates to Disneyland and DisneyWorld. 13. Tear down galaxy’s edge and make new theme park based on original trilogy. 14. Buy Thomas the tank Engine from Mattel and make model series for adult fans. 15.Adapt the Lionel Great Railway adventure stories into a short film or tv Series. 16. Clean sweep the house of woke culture. To tell you the truth I would not do this willingly if I did run the company. I would be this reluctant being. I want to make great stories. I have no pride, am not proud of my work (as biblically, proud-fullness and pride leads to the downfall of people.) I am pro capitalists. I will not sacrifice my values for perks. I will not back down in a fight. I care about the Disney brand.

Oh, right, because the Pinocchio remake exists you guys all of the sudden hate Encanto now because it was made by the same company. And besides, those of you who say that Disney is literally hopeless nowadays and that they’re worse than Satan and Hitler combined, just remember, Disney was hated by everyone in the 1980s and the early 2000s too, and they eventually managed to redeem themselves. How is this any different? Disney isn’t completely hopeless, they’ll eventually live up to your expectations again.
