@@shinigamix8563 well performance wise, giyuu did better than mitsuri he did a bit worse against akaza than rengoku but akaza has more experience against water pillars as akaza says he never fought a flame pillar before and he was the only one after the battle to still have energy to keep up with demon king tanjiro. Sure, demon king tanjiro was not at full power and probably hadn’t eaten anything so at most he was low uppermoon level with sunlight resistance but all the other hashira were either dead or completely out of commission. This says something about his skill despite not having the best feats so i think he is mid tier hashira. Besides, most the hashiras power are somewhat interchangeable except for maybe gyomei, sanemi and shinobu

@@shinigamix8563 i am really sorry to say that you are completely wrong here my friend. i am Huge sanemi fan but still i can say for sure that he easily is the third strongest hashira after sanemi. tbh he was the damage dealer against akaza while tanjiro came in for minor assists, then he turned his nichrin blade red twice and he assisted tanjiro in taking down muzan. afterwards despite being severely injured, he still saved zenitsu and others from demon king tanjiro. At the end of the day giyu is 3rd strongest hashira because the writers wanted him to be.

Giyu is one of the most respectable and well-written characters in the series. His friendship/brother-like relationship with Tanjiro is actually one of my favorite things about Demon Slayer. Giyuu is a genuinely such a good human being. He was willing to sacrifice everything for Tanjiro and Nezuko more than once and somehow found a way to keep fighting for others after the trauma of losing everyone he cared for. Despite his view of himself, he is definitely a true Hashira in every way.

I like that instead of being the silent and mysterious strongest character who doesn’t like being around people, he’s just someone who can’t express himself properly and is insecure. He’s not just mysterious and strong but he actually does want people to be close to him and like him, and he cares about that like when he wants to get Sanemi food the next time they train based on what Tanjiro said. He thinks low of himself for surviving and has an imposter syndrome complex despite being one of the strongest characters in the series and he cares a lot about the people around him and letting them down like in the moment when he thought Tanjiro was dead. Really interesting character, and his development is quite wholesome.

I think any demon slayer would struggle because Akaza is basically using the martial arts equivalent of aim bot. He knows exactly where their will to fight is and can understand what moves they’re going to make. Tanjiro won because he unlocked the right mindset to face and behead Akaza but anything short of the right conditions would have required multiple Hashira.

It’s so weird how some people seem to ignore everything he did in the final arcs like holding off Muzan while protecting Tanjiro, saving Tanjiro against Akaza, holding off/surviving Akaza’s strongest attack forms, saving Tanjiro multiple times, fighting in 3 back to back battles, saving Zenitsu and the Kakushi, holding off Demon King Tanjiro with ONE arm (his nondominant arm)…the list goes on. Giyuu is incredibly strong and a true Hashira in both his fighting prowess and his willingness to sacrifice so much for others.

I love how the author developed his character. He is an awesome example of being the least to the greatest. He could't even pass the exam without his friends' help and in the end he was facing the final bosses while protecting his friends, that's such an awesome turn around😁 ALSO!! It is super sad that all the other hashira died, but I thought it was SUPER cool what the auther did there. That the hashira who believed in nezuko the most and the hashira that wanted her dead, are still together. not to mention i think sanemi and iguro hated giyuu and yet they fought side by side in the end. Sanemi hated him the most I think, but they made it out alive inthe end. the duality of that is deep and interesting. I just love small details like that

Giyu has big potential but he underrates himself, he is just a master of water breathing, he created a new form (dead calm) and one shouted Rui. He fought akaza and was protecting Tanjiro in the same time, then he fought muzan and was the last hashira standing against demon tanjiro... He feels guilty about Sabito death and considers himself as fake hashira so we have this impression that he is weaker than sabito. My opinion is we don't know if it is really the case maybe giyu would have been able to surpass sabito

So yeah. With all these similarities, Johnny Yong Bosch AND Sakurai Takahiro could be great VA's fer both Links (Twilight Princess's Link in the canon AND the Twilight Princess's Link in the manga version).

The opponent's were worthy.. he is Such a Awesome character that he created 11th form which is one of the best defensive Breath form In Entire series(not best but one of best)... He has experience...
