@@amateurwave3593 I know X-Men overtly plays off the errs of society such as discrimination, but the MCU has rarely covered such topics in the films. I definitely noticed the subtle instances of racism, etc, but they’re doing it a way (so far), that’s not so much in your face or agenda pushing. I don’t have a problem with it, but it’s interesting to see how viewers react to it. This show is a lot more grounded than expected and I like it.

In all fairness though I think it's been improving a lot. I've been happy with my care in NYC Harbor VA Hospital. But granted I was lucky to leave the service with next to no medical concerns. The other day I got an automated text that I can get the vaccine and was able to get a shot the next day. My parents who are in their 50s still can't get an appointment. I realize I've just been lucky and many still can't get the care they need. I hope the system improves throughout.

@@texasthib2029 nothing you said made any sense, when you're first injured while on active duty the VA is not handling your health care it is Tricare and or AD Military facilities. If you lose limbs then you'll go through the MEB process for medical retirement which then you'll get a VA rating after your board process. MEB's can take up to a year to process and they have to stabilize you before leaving AD. Then long term care is given via the VA. The term "leave" doesn't exist anymore if you are out and in the care of the VA. Leave exists while you're still AD and or reservist/guard status. I think you are confused about something in your story there.

So, this review episode really hit home one of the reasons why I think AJ is starting to slip in his own review. Earlier in the video he talked about what the US Agent would go through, named his true name, and even stated how it would be in connection to Bucky's own journey. We also see that the Flagsmasher group had a strong person who was able to perform feats of strength similar to that of Captain America. Sam even drops a hint that they might be Super Soldiers. Also, with the financial ordeal....they spent a bit of time explaining that the world is not how it was 5 years ago. The bank guy even says that the entire financial market has completely changed. Sam is operating under the old system while both his sister and the bank guy are trying to tell him that doesn't work anymore. Maybe it's just me, but they seem to want the series to sit down and explain in detail what's going on....only so they can then complain that's boring and they don't care.

I used to love his reviews but man has gotten worse over the years. Picking at things that didn't need to be picked. He's always trying to find negatives but in the course of doing so he ends up making up some bad points just for the sake of needing more negative criticism of the media he is reviewing. It's honestly a bit annoying as well that he and I forget who the other guy is but the one that is always negative about everything and nickpicks and ends up looking like he's a bit too pretentious or simply just needing to be spoonfed alot of info has also become just nothing but the same and bland reviewer. They are both having to deal with the repercussions of the snap along with going back to a time with no big threats in their own emotional and personal ways. Really solid start and excited for next week.

They literally adressed everything you mentioned, how heroes get income (it was mostly a goodwill's work), the guy talked about the fact that Sam had no income for 5 years, they then addressed the blip, Sam mentioned his contract with the military and said that those should be proof of earning enough but the banker said it was not enough because half the population of earth! came back and they are asking for loans or their money back of course, so the economy has to be a big mess. And how is Tony stark an asshole? He is DEAD! They brought the people back during the fight with Thanos and he died right there in that fight! When was he going to help Flacon financially? During the 5 years that he didn't exist and that he thought that was a fact? or before that? When Falcon went rogue alongside Captain America by fighting Tony and rejecting the Sokovian Accords?

I can understand why people think this show would be better as a binge but I think Mandalorion and Wanda vision are great weekly watches even the last episode of Wanda vision wasn’t that great and it wasn’t because of fan theories it’s just that marvel made something very unique but then the last episode reminds you it’s still marvel then you just get a really ridiculous and cheesy action sequence as well as the morality of the show was bad and Hayward could have been a better villain. I disagree with AJ! Falcon wasn't softly kicking ass during his action scene, he was kicking better than he was before. His fighting skills got better and looks like he came up with some better techniques. It was Batroc (GSP), is where he had trouble with because he's more stronger, aggressive and more skilled than Sam. But nah, Falcon was kicking ass and he brought his A Game!

Dude has been a mind controlled assassin for like 70yrs, back & forth on ice, had the government and half the avengers trying to stop him, Black Panther trying to kill him, then met extraterrestrials for the first time in IW, turned to dust, resurrected only to square up in Another galactic battle for the Universe straight away, then watched his Only friend left really and the only one who can understand his turmoil, Steve, leave for a happy life in the past... I'd probably sleep on the hard floor of my apartment and air Sam's calls too. Gotta say though, It's gonna be awesome and heartwarming when he finally contacts Sam and tells the old man he killed his Son for being in the wrong place at the wrong time 😢

Come on guys a little bit of research. GSP is Batroc reprised from Winter Soldier. Flag Smasher was a Cap villain in the comics (you do a review and don't even note down the correct name for one of the main antagonists of the show?) Most of the names in Bucky's list, if you do a bit of digging, are old Cap or Bucky enemies from the comics dating back to the 1940s. Nothing is done in the MCU without either a reason or a link to either the comics or the MCU (or both). Enjoyed the first episode as much as WandaVision and really like the change of pace and content and appreciate the themes. Always felt it was a pity that Agents of SHIELD didn't get the chance to show how the blip affected others. About time its made a point about how a superhero has to survive. Stark pays for the Avengers, giving them equipment, a place to live etc. However he is not the Avengers' employee and they could not operate as such as their motives would then be suspect by every country (and Cap being Cap wouldn't have stood for it). Falcon is working for the US government (possibly as an independent contractor). Invading another country's airspace is still illegal and tension in the world is probably high.

I'm pretty sure that Sam wanted to complete the mission without needing to use lethal force. Unfortunately, he let his guard down, and he was in jeopardy of failing to complete the mission. Lethal Force became a necessity instead of a choice. I feel that's a bit more realistic than just having people either straight up murder others, or avoid killing outright.

No CGI aliens!, 4/10. Not everything superhero movie/show need action. I like the realistic tone. No one ever questions if these superheroes do taxes or have mortgages. My favorite part of the episode was when Sam is trying to get a loan and thinks he’s going to get it just because he’s a hero but he doesn’t because he barely has any income. It just shows that these people are average joes with the exception of tony. I love juxtaposition of Sam having a family vs bucky being lonely because like most of the characters in the mcu, his whole life is just going around beating up people. This is a 10/10

I wonder about you Joe. Not firing where the person you are saving could get hit makes sense. Destroying a helicopter that is trying to kill you with rockets and you just have a jet pack with NO HELMET also makes sense. This was a great series start! And the bank scene with the clear racism does happen. The sister said they would not help and what they don’t say is because of where she lives. It is illegal to red line but if you can attach it to a lack of a work history then you can still do it using the work history as an excuse.

GSP is Batroc the Leaper. He uses tech to jump or leap really high in combat in the animated shows and comics. When he fought in "captain America winter soldier" he had some "jumping fight moves" and did a lot of "leaping" out of moving helicopters in the fight against The Falcon lol. Hopefully he gets more jumping, leaping, tricking kicks in future fight scenes.
