8:55 funny enough that cheer the girl put out at that moment wasn't for the new tech announcements, that specific cheer was when Todd announced that fallout76 wouldn't have npc's. This was around the same time the NPC meme was going crazy through social media, and journalists and some developers thought it was de humanizing.

29:22: As for why they made the Canvas Bag proper for New Vegas, as opposed to for 76; I would say that it was because New Vegas was really made more by Obsidian, whose team was made up of veteran game developers from the Interplay days of Fallout 1, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics, than any genuine involvement from Bethesda besides marketing. To Obsidian, this game, along with the ones they made to kick off the series, were their babies, their children; to Bethesda, however, they were merely cash-cows, to be milked to death for all they had. The fundamental difference between them was that the games Obsidian made were done so with care, because they genuinely wanted to deliver on their promise on making the most awesome post-nuclear RPG they could imagine (and many would argue even to this day, that New Vegas was the best Fallout game because of the sheer variety of Perks, Choices, Routes You Can Take, DLCs, Multiple Endings, Dialogue Options, Weapons Customization, Faction Respect and Politics, etc., that _gave_ you all the tools and freedom you needed to tell whatever story you wanted to, no strings attached). Bethesda, on the other hand, only put out as much effort as they felt they needed to, their prime motivation being Profit Potential over Whether or Not Anyone _Actually_ Enjoyed the Game they Made. The company had developed an unwholesome reputation of screwing over the people who worked under them to make their games for them, by paying off games reviewers like IGN and Electronic Gaming Monthly to give their games lower reviews so they wouldn't have to pay their workers much and keep most of the money for themselves. When this mistreatment drove off everybody who ever worked for them, they decided to make their games themselves... and we all know how _THAT_ ended [points to Fallout 76 and the Metacritic surrounding it]. Bethesda is basically a parasitic organism, a shifty, malicious corporate entity that doesn't care about customer satisfaction and has no empathy whatsoever. After they bought-out the Fallout IP from Interplay, after they had Obsidian make Fallout 3 for them, they became malignant narcissists who felt they could do no wrong, and that if people dared to criticize their games, it was never Bethesda's fault; it was the fault of the fans, for being 'underappreciative,' it was the fault of Obsidian and all the other companies that worked alongside them, for not doing better even with the oppressive time crunch looming over them and the threat of not being paid for their work, it was the media's fault for portraying them in a negative light; it was, from Bethesda's perspective everyone else's fault for being mean and stupid and ungrateful, and it totally wasn't the fault of 'Poor, Blameless Bethesda.' To which I respond, "Blow it out your ass, you goddamned con-artist tightwads; nobody cares what you have to say anymore, we all know it's lies! You succeeded in alienating all your potential allies by dicking them over for your own selfish goals, leaving you utterly alone in the spotlight to receive all the blame, no 'meat-shields-against-reproach' to save you from the enraged crowd of people you scammed and upset who want your head on a pike, and now you have the gall to complain about how everyone is giving you a 'hard time?' Pathetic, just truly low and pathetic."

And for The Elder Scrolls 3, they had a certified madman druggie write their setting. Wouldn't call it 'good' but it's certainly engaging. Which was kinda half-ignored by Oblivion and actually done _really subtly in the background_ in Skyrim to the point where Skyrim might have had good writers.

Edit: oh, and Nate if I may suggest have a look at the Q&A of the Costa Concordia video you and Nick if I remember correctly during that video, because there's stuff in that Q&A video that might give you some answers to what you guys were commenting on during that original reaction. In fact, on that subject there's another reaction of the Costa Concordia video from a channel called Sailorvince who gave their own insight of the field that can help cover what you thought was odd for someone going from head of security to a position of captain in a matter of seconds.

18:06: actually that happened with a lot of different nations in history. It notably happened with Germany after their defeat in World War One, with the vengeful angry nations imposing harsh demands on the crippled German government (which still had yet to adjust from transitioning to a democratic state from a previously largely monarchic one), expecting them to pay back a massive reparation fee they couldn't possibly hope to afford, leading to them printing out more money in the hopes that it would solve the problem, instead only making the Deutschmark practically worthless, making bread cost nearly a thousand dollars, leading to widescale economic depression in Germany (America "tried" to help out, lend some pocket change, but then the Stock Market Crash of '29 occurred and then, they joined the European powers in their loan sharking biz of demanding that Germany get them their money or their shins would be smashed in with baseball bats), and causing the dissatisfied French, who weren't content with merely hurting them financially, marching into the Rhineland, confiscating property that had belonged to Germany, and slaughtering anyone who dared fight back; the sum of the whole horrible mess only fueling the Germans resentment towards the rest of the world, leading to the rise of Hitler, the tragedies of the Holocaust, and the start of World War 2. And it also happened with us, with America during and slightly after the American Revolution, where, after separating from Great Britain economically, then politically, it created a problem of how would Americans purchase the things they needed? They couldn't just simply accept credit, because then the businesses would go out of business, struggling to pay back the traders they received their goods from, so the government decided to create the Continental Dollar to serve as currency. And when that failed, they thought that the solution was to print _more_ money. But like Germany and Zimbabwe, this was of course a very stupid idea, as instead of making it worth something, it did the opposite, devaluing the currency, and leading to the soldiers that fought for America's freedom to be paid in basically peanuts; if you remember the Sam O'Nella 'Timothy Dexter' episode, this caused the more wealthy of American society to offer to buy the worthless money from the veterans... which would become a massive dick move on the rich people's part, because after the war ended, the government decided to make bonds which the leaders promised to offer in exchange for the failed Continental Dollars allowing them to receive better compensation. Problem was that most of the soldiers had already given their Dollars to these rich jagoffs, who became MORE rich when they turned in the Dollars for Bonds, leaving the veterans even more penniless than they were before!

I don't care. I'm waiting on elder scrolls. I can handle bugs. I'm fine with bugs. It's expected at this point. I want to see how the quests are handled. And the combat. Every now and then you get pretty blant dialogs or 10 paragraphs of text that hardly even matter. I'm sure some people had fun with the game but I personaly stopped playing aft 7 hours which is not much in such a long game

Okay I might be castrated for this…but I actually just started playing F76…and I’m actually enjoying it. Don’t get me wrong, New Vegas and 2 are far superior, but I used to be on the band wagon of shitting on the game because of how it was handled, but now that they’ve fixed a lot of what people were complaining about, it’s actually not that bad, and in fact, I’m actually enjoying the game a bit more than Fallout 4. I think my favorite thing about 76 is the Dialogue and more RPG elements that 4 lacked. 4 had pretty limited dialogue options “Sarcasm, yes sure, no not now” you get it, and while there are mods like full dialogue interface, it still doesn’t change it. With 76 you have dialogue options like having to have a high enough Intelligence skill or Charisma skill, Hell, you even have negative skill options. Just has more aspects that the older games had which I really like. It is by no means a perfect game and I’d take New Vegas any day, but it has come a loooong way since launch.

This is why I wasn't hyped for Fallout 76. After that announcement, my Fallout friend was happy to get a multiplayer game like Elder Scrolls Online. I told him there's something off, something feels VERY strange from Todd's wording. I told him you can be hyped for it but please be careful. He got it and enjoyed it a bit, jokingly accepting bugs as that was a standard Bestheda troupe. Half a year later he gave up playing it after he heard about the pay to win shop being more "popular choice due to how grindy the game became". I told him countless times "You shouldn't trust a guy who was sooooo hyping up the fact it would have EVEN MORE detail than ever before" after the Special Edition Scandal. Don't get me started on the "Buying a private server" they introduced, people STILL got in.

I saw the signs early and even if I didn't I have trouble running heavier pc games anyway let alone multiplayer ones. So I was never gonna get it regardless. I'm at the point where even with companies I LOVE I remain cautious with every new release. ... Forspoken just came out and it is a mess with horrible "woke" writing as people are putting it. And after just one scene I can't help but agree. Also. Was that a 67 dollar price tag I saw on the steam store?! Ohhhhh square you are not starting the year off strong. I don't even care about the graphics looking "bad" It looks fine to me. People are WAY to obsessed with graphics. It makes me so mad.
@VioletMaeve
@VioletMaeve Жыл бұрын
@@Guardian-of-Light137 Forspoken I say the story is above average, but its not groundbreaking. People are way too over obsessed to graphics. Like say Dead Space Remake. Someone was trying to convince me that they are ruining the continuity of the story by making the main characters ugly or older. Did they forget that Isaac and his wife are like happily married for 20 years or so? Isaac wasn't 25 and young to relate, he was like 35 or more, becoming GREY haired by the next two games.

Are people REALLY throwing that big of a stink over THAT of all t (oh of course they are why am I even asking, it's the internet) Look i'mma just say not everything has to look next gen. As long as the graphics do their job I don't care if I can see the individual details on every rock on a wasteland! Or if they look like pixels. Heck I prefer the former since I at least have a better chance of running the game then! I can't afford the computers needed for all the modern advanced triple A games.

Fallout 76 is a... mixed bag for me. Last time I played, it seemed pretty stable, on Xbox One at least. They added an actual quest line WITH npcs. And "The Pitt" seems like it has a little potential. HOWEVER (before you crucify me), it is still fairly boring. The last time I played was when I joined my friend, and we did ONE event at a powerplant. I got bored quickly and got off. The gameplay feels the exact same as Fallout 4, but in an mmo environment. I said, "If I wanted to play this, I'll just play Fallout 4." Honestly, my second biggest gripe (the mmo aspect) is also my biggest gripe with the Elder Scrolls Online. It just doesn't feel right in a way I can't name. Co-op, however, is something I can get behind. Which is why I eventually want to get a Skyrim Together Reborn working and play with my friends. And I'm kind of looking forward to what the same people who made that mod will do with Fallout 4 Together, since I last heard they are working on that.

Hey Nate, I was watching you and Chad react to smii7y playing Mario kart 8 (from early 2022) and I was wondering, why did BigPuffer block you on twitter? I was looking in more of your videos and i can’t find why puffer blocked you.

I actually had some fun with the game all the way since launch, though I was a fan of the franchise because of Fallout 4 and had little to no encounters with game-breaking bugs. I will say the game has became a little boring the past year or so. The updates have been few and far between. Still, I'll play it, because I'm a sucker and the scoreboard/battle pass has me hooked.

You know Fallout 76 would of been better if it was just Skyrim the only things being Fallout 76 being the starting screen, the cases the discs come in or well in this case the codes and the initial loading screen but other then that it was Skyrim would be hilarious

Fallout 4's story falling so terribly short, followed by Bethesda's absolute botch job on Fallout 76 have got me not looking forward to TES6 at all. They are going to fuck this whole project from top to bottom. And I can almost guarantee they're going to pull all the same slimy shit they did with the 76 marketing. I don't know if Bethesda is going to continue trying to use the same engine they always do, but if they do, it'll basically be suicide for the whole project.

Fallout 76 was when the gaming public became fully disillusioned with E3 and trailers in general. Now those types of ecstatic reactions are labeled as "cringe" and more people are openly mocking trailers for being nothing burgers and eventual disappointments.
