I honestly think the big shift in Kaynes personality has a lot to do with the loss of his mother. When his mother died he completely lost himself and became a completely different person.!

Honestly I blame us as a community for Kanye not facing any repercussions for his anti black comments. Black people are always making excuses for Kanye and antiblackness in general, we feel the need to protect our own but sometimes we gotta let some of our people go. Other communities don’t tolerate the BS or disrespect I wish we had the same energy.

We could stand to take notes from the Jewish community. They are rightfully quick to hold antisemites accountable, no matter what form they take. When it comes to antiblackness, we swiftly call out everyone who's guilty of it. But when it's a black person doing it, there's so much rationalization before shunning, and it shouldn't be like this.

From a pharmacy student perspective his bipolar disorder most likely is a huge factor. Bipolar disorder is the rapid cycling of moods , including mania and depression. Specifically, in regards to him not taking his medications, that is something that commonly happens with bipolar disorder. Mania feels like a high and is noted to have burst in creativity. Many patients don't want to take the medications because it brings them down. This is definitely something we see often in the field of pharmacy.

Yes! Also people say that the racist and antisemitic stuff isn’t from the bipolar but it can be. Intrusive thoughts are a big part of bipolar and if you’re in a state of psychosis you will as they say “let the intrusive thoughts win”

I have schizoaffective disorder. I understand this 💯 I used to worry a lot about if the medicine would make me unable to think creatively 😮 and maybe I am a bit more inhibited before BUT 😮!!! Creative doesn't flourish in chaos, fear or disorder either. Like being able to finish a project, focus and develop and idea is so important. Do not wake up your demons and give them the power to speak lightly ☝️👀🧙‍♀️ in a way, you breath life into the things you create. Its not good to hold these negative feelings inside, but then you must be okay to heal, grow-up and move on ❤💀⚰🥲 I think this is why so many of the hallucinations I heard and saw while ill were to do with the figure of death and hearing death call 😮 I wasn't afraid of dying, but ending 👀☝️🤷‍♂️ this sense of "ending" was at the route of my paranoia. Greif 🌱 into paranoia, could be a factor w Ye. Being well has enabled me to really do my best work and more of it 😮☝️

I'm not from the black community, but i just cannot NOT comment on the 'slavery is a choice' or 'people from our community have a victim mentality', coming from a historical point. I'm from Bulgaria and my ancestors have been under slavery for five whole centuries, that's 500 hundred years. And I've never heard anyone here say those things, ever. It's just a matter of respect for your ancestors, your history and yourself. Without knowing your past you're nothing. With history like ours, no matter the skin color, we should never put ourselves down. You should never say things like this because you give others the right to repeat them, and you know what they say right - something repeated multiple times becomes truth. It becomes a belief system. This woman had opportunities that only few get - she managed to get out of the bad neighborhood, get education, have a name for herself and ect. That doesn't mean that everyone has the same chances of success, it just means she's been lucky with the people around her. And sure doesn't give her the right to disrespect her ancestors and everyone else who isn't her. People in my country still struggle to come close to what other countries have, because the slavery kept us from growing and expanding. Some still treat us like we're nothing and meaningless, mainly because of our politicians and the crime, but we never let them get ahead of themselves. We kept our traditions alive. We own our history, we're proud of it and appreciate what has been done. This is a matter of not changing your history because of one person's opinion, and simple respect for what has been made so you can be here now. Again, I'm sorry if you think that i shouldn't comment on this because I'm not African American. I wrote this with great respect towards your history and you. With how you keep fighting for yourselves no matter what or who. This shows that yours, mine, and everyone else's spirit is still alive. That we remember our history and are ready to fight for our rights, and the future of our kids.

Don’t feel bad for speaking on this, because a lot of people don’t like to admit that slavery can and will set a community hundreds of years behind others. Mainly because we never had the chance to build our society. Now it’s especially hard because of the economy, it’ll take a lot of work but i know we could do it. And idk how Candace is saying that when they burnt down many successful black districts during segregation, is she stupid?

The issue with saying his anti Semitic got him canceled and not his anti Black comments is that it ignores the fact that black folks were the ones insisting he said nothing wrong when he said that mess. The reason he didn't get canceled when he denigrated the black community is because black people as a whole didn't cancel him. Half of black people, primarily the intellects, educated and older crowd (ie. Roland Martin, Obamas, Cornell West), were done with him, thought he was ignorant, and no role model for black people. This started in 2016 when he first started supporting Trump and announced he was bipolar. I think even before that President Obama referred to Kanye as a "jack@#s." However, half of black people, primarily the uneducated and youth, were still supporting and defending him. They were still buying his music and his adidas and fashion lines. He was still being interviewed by and called a genius in the black hip hop community. Look at the video of him ranting and crying with the security vest on. He is clearly bipolar, looks maniac and confused, but black people were still in the crowd supporting him and calling him a genius. WTH??!! So there was no collective agreement in the black community to cancel Kanye. So why would businesses fire him after he insulted black people when uneducated and young black folks were still buying his goods and supporting him? However, when he attacked Jewish people, there was a huge public outcry from the Jewish community and they were united as one against him. No one in the Jewish community was supporting him or calling him a genius. And after businesses started canceling their contracts with him. If black people united and came out against Kanye, stopped buying his fashion and music, and stopped publicly defending him, he would have been done long time ago. They did it successfully with others....look at the black lives matter movement and that was related to mistreatment of blacks by whites and the police. But, when it comes to Kanye there are still black people (and well known ones) publicly defending him to this day and believing the world is conspiring against Kanye. 🤦‍♂️ Why would the world conspire against Kanye? He's a rapper and celeb. He's not a world leader, president, prime minister, king, or respected intellect/philosopher. Important and powerful people don't care about Kanye or Kim K no matter how rich they are. They don't influence Washington DC....in fact no celebrity does. If they are gonna go after anyone black and ruin their careers, it's going to be black politicians, judges, attorneys (ie DAs and states attorneys) and professors/teachers...those are the real black power elite in the country because they are the ones making the laws, working in the justice system, and educating black youth. I do not understand why black people don't get this.

I'm glad you edited and re-uploaded this. Because I wasn't able to make it clear in my comment on the last upload, I completely agree with you that Ye should've lost business partnerships and faced more backlash due to the awful comments he said about the black community as well. I think some of the unfairness comes from the fact that while Jewish people are marginalized, they are still often white and therefore still benefit from white privilege a lot of the time. Also, for some reason, the public seems to be more accepting of bigoted comments about a community coming from members of the community, which sucks. But all of Kanye's recent comments about Jewish people and the black community have been horrific and dangerous, and the way so many far right white men have been using a mentally ill black man as a pawn is disgusting. He needs to stop interacting with the public for a long time and get some serious help.

I totally agree! proper action should’ve been done! when he made those anti-black comments and BLM it was so weird that nobody thought about dropping him for his words regardless though anti- black and anti-semitic comments are so harmful Having the audacity to make comments regarding both races The Jewish community itself has suffered A LOT from oppression since the middle ages in Europe and this is not just for their religion but ethnicity as well the holocaust and the Atlantic slave trade are honestly never taken seriously at all there still genocides happening to this day but also known as ethnic cleansing and there is modern slavery in areas such as India, China and many more countries (human trafficking and forced labour) any horrible comments towards black and jewish people are disgusting and just perpetuate what we all didn’t want to happen again from history? like we are just not learning- i wish he would’ve been dropped sooner :/ it’s so harmful to both Black and Jewish communities :(

But as someone suffering from bipolar disorder, I can also see this very serious illness transpiring in his words and actions. If you truly feel bad for North, you wouldn't feel for Kim as she's the one who wanted to kill/abort North. @@noneofyourbusinesslolz6112 kill and abort are not the same let’s get that straight. And I’m not saying Kanye is wrong for considering an abortion or for changing his mind he is wrong for publicly speaking on it and making it Kim’s fault. There is no fault, lots of people consider abortion and don’t go through with it for one reason or another and the child doesn’t need to know about it it’s not their business.

@@samanthapadgett2594 the google definition of abortion is “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy” deliberate means intentional and when you kill someone it’s typically intentional so yeah abortion and kill/murder are the same thing. If abortion isn’t the same as killing why does the baby die? Why does the baby end up dead? Exactly. If abortion is not wrong or a bad thing then why is it so bad that Kanye went public with it? If it’s soooo good then it’s a good thing that he told the whole world instead of keeping it private right? Even you know abortion is wrong which is why you have such a problem with him making a public statement. And the concept of it “not being the child’s business” is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard because the abortion is literally ABOUT THAT CHILD.

Okay, I'd like to apologize for my comment yesterday. I think I took it too far. I tried to reply, but didn't get the chance to, so here it goes. You're right there is anti-black racism all over the world. I hope it didn't sound like I was trying to deny that. You never said Jews are white or Jews cause black oppression which I insinuated in my first comment, so I'm sorry for saying that. Basically, my point was I don't think Jews have as much control or power as they're perceived to have. Jews are commonly looked at negatively from white supremacists on the far right and liberals on the far left who group in Jews with all oppressive white people. I think that Jews can benefit from white privilege because they have white skin and can hide their identity in public whereas people of color cannot. However, when Jews get grouped in with white people as a whole, a lot of hate against Jews brews from the far left, and that's when people can fall victim to antisemitic tropes such as Jews controlling the banking system and start harassing Jews in public. I'm not saying you were spreading those tropes. It's just a common sentiment. I watched the end of the video, and I think you may have deleted the part saying Jews have a lot of respect or more respect than black people. I think that's very subjective. There are times such as with the Kanye situation where it did seem his antisemitic comments were taken more seriously than the anti-black comments, and that's totally unacceptable. However, there are also many instances where people on all sides of the political spectrum make antisemitic comments, and they're largely ignored when Jews called them out, but when they make comments about people of color, those are addressed. Basically, it's a very messy and complicated situation. I hope it didn't come off yesterday like I was attacking you because I really like you and you're channel. What Kanye said about Jews and black people was abhorrent, and he deserves to lose everything he has.

As a white woman, hearing what Kanye said about George Floyd even 3 years later, I am still so upset and horrified by what happened. To say George Floyd died from some other cause is so infuriating. There have been a lot of other horrific and disturbing actions from cops and really hope that things improve in future. Kanye always says that he is allowed to have his own opinions which I think it may be due to extreme internal sadness after losing his mom (if that makes sense). Whatever his reasoning, I think the best thing we can do is ignore him and not give a platform to spew anymore hatred and racism.

Half education is more dangerous than no education. Dear Kanye maybe you shouldn't open your mouth if you're not educated on an issue, let alone on such serious issues such as slavery and WW2. I like having controversial opinions sometimes but dude we do not touch such things, we don't joke about them. There are some lines we should never cross. He just feels invincible and entitled. The part of "white lives matter" let me comment on that and I hope it doesn't come off wrong. I think that both black and white lives matter and ALL lives matter regardless because I believe in equality. I would maybe say the same and if someone who doesn't know me came across it it'd definitely come out as racist but I reassure you it's not. The antisemetism and N**zi comments tho call back to a horrific holocaust which is really really really unacceptable and inhumane so I get why Adidas rushed to cancel him. All in all thank you for this video. It was really enligtening and I wanted to know what exactly happened. I just happened to come across your channel so I haven't watched all of your videos and I'd like to ask you if you'd like to make a Taylor Swift video commenting on the 2016 drama with Kanye, all the bodyshaming and slut shaming she's received through the years. I'm a Swiftie so I know most parts but I'd love to see a full video cause you seem to do a nice research on stuff. Thank you a lot x

Although I am not against everything he says, I sincerely believe that he is not aware of the seriousness and the impact of his statements and that is what caused him the loss many of its partnerships. As for his political opinion, I'm not one to put anyone down for it, because let's be honest, no president can claim to have done nothing horrible. No politician is a Saint, especially when it comes to the United States. Politics in my eyes is more a question of "who is the least bad" rather than "who is the best".

What confuses me is that he literally paid 2 million to George Floyd’s kids and was in support of him but than says all of this. But I have seen a comment talking about how bipolar disorder affects the brain cells and causes brain damage over time and how it’s even worse when going untreated so it makes sense.

Anyways, that George Floyd & Slavery was a choice thing pissed me off. Kanye be saying so much personal stuff it's literally insane. Is it me but it seems after he married Kim, he started to sink really badly. It just seems that way..!! I feel he acts the way he does cuz knows it's gonna get him something. Tragic fall? That's super farfetched. I wouldn't say his had a tragic fall, it's more like a triumphant exit out of being controlled and used. Unless he was controversial enough to make others uncomfortable to the point they had to take action (whilst ruining themselves in the process- Adidas and other giants set to lose billions shortly)Ye wanted out. He isnt stupid. The only tragedy for him is that his family life with his children has changed dramatically due to the fact of the divorce. I think the only thing that really hurts Ye in all of this is the time he spends being apart from his children and not having the freedom to wake up in the same house as them in the mornings etc (And I do feel it for him btw with his ex wife exploiting their daughter on tik tok, allowing a questionable character- Pete to have their daughter on this strange perverse man's lap and the rest. Honestly, it's impossible for him to have a tragic fall/fail.. Because he's a genius and once a genius always a genius.

I just don't think that the type of comments he said about black people (which is also his own race so that might have been seen as reason enough not to cancel him before which is still disgusting) was the same as saying "i'm gonna exterminate the jews to free the world from their oppression". he was taking the humanity from both groups and i don't know why are jewish people put to the side to prove nobody cares about black people. nobody cares about jewish people either to the point where nobody even questions anything that bella hadid is saying about the palestine region. Like we don't have anyone so mainstream popular to present our side of the story so we get railed as oppressors - yet again. Why can Spain still speak out in the international community even though they do the same thing to Catalonia? We don't need to ignore the mistreatment of one group to highlight another.....

He said that black people who were being r@ped, beaten, and forced against their will was their CHOICE. That’s just as awful. And as for Bella Hadid, many of her posts get taken down for calling out the apartheid against Palestinians. She was even called out by the Israeli government for posting videos of IDF soldiers k!lling and harming Palestinians. Also, calling out apartheid isn’t the same as antisemitism.

@@bluerain1719 I'm not for antisemitism or racism, but why is it permissible to say a whole group of people are crazy or the root of all evil like geminis because of their zodiac sign? Why is it that people are ok with canceling someone anti religious or anti semitic or anti one particular race but not someone who is anti one particular minority in the case of being part of a zodiac sign even if the target of hatred or ridicule doesn't even believe in zodiac signs?

@@bluerain1719 It's one thing that twitter as a platform does something, and it's an entirely different what people remember was said. There are people like you who are educated on a subject - which is amazing, but most people want even double check. Speaking about the slavery comment - I never said it was okay. Quite the contrary. I said it was disgusting. All I wanted to convey is that it's not okay to brush off the decades of suffering and the harm Kanye was calling for on my community. He treated his own kind like trush just because he is on the pedestal and never have to fear for his life like many black people do in the USA (and Europe too but it's an entirely different story). But what Kanye did was calling his fans to do harm to our community. He basically said that black people asked to be killed, and Jewish people should continue to be "neutralised" the way H**ler did it. There are many documentaries that show what was happening it those camps - you and us are way more alike and should fight together and saying "oh they only care about the Jews. They have it is and nobody cares about us". We are hated world-wide still. Maybe you don't see it as antisemitism, but it doesn't change the fact that the popularised Palestine story harms us.

Normally love these videos but I think when you mix in politics, the waters can get a little murky since with emotions being so high. There are a few things I disagree with when it comes to the points made: when someone is having a manic episode, it’s unfair to say that their true thoughts come out since they aren’t in a sound place to develop fully coherent thoughts - that’s why it’s a mental illness. Candice Owens is a black republican, yes but taking bits of clips from her presentations doesn’t offer a full picture for what she was trying to demonstrate - I would challenge people to listen to her podcast to get a realistic picture of her rather than small clips that offer little to no information on her agenda. I found Kanye’s speech to be moving because he was speaking on how he literally would not be on this earth if he had been aborted and his personal stance on the topic and was attempting to point out how abortions are disproportionately made in the African American community 42% to 33%- these are just facts that a simple google search can prove. I think what he was trying to push the community to do was look at why that might be (less babies of a certain race = less of that race) and how that’s an issue. By saying “Europeans, southerners, etc.” your grouping people into a box - at the end of the day America as a country agreed that slavery is an inhumane and horrific thing and lives were lost in both sides to end it and yes, we still have a long way to go but them vs. us mentality and speaking on people’s interracial relationships is heading in the wrong direction. My comments aren’t meant to start any internet arguments but merely to offer a different perspective and some facts. Overall, I’m glad we’re having these discussions as a society and think that they’re long overdue.
