As a casual Edgar Alan Poe fan, this show was fantastic to me. Wonderful recitations of Poe's poems, allusions to his stories, and the general gothic vibes of the Usher home. The episode titles do foreshadow the deaths if you know Poe though 😅

I'm so happy you're reacting to this Chu!! This was so good. Me and boyfried binged this in 2 days. We were hooked! I hope you finish it on your channel. The whole Usher family is horrible (except for Lenore and Juno). But this whole series was a wild ride, amazing series. Fun fact: The actress that plays Camille is actually Mike Flanagan's wife, and he uses the same actors in almost all his works. A lot of the actors in this show were in Midnight Mass and his other shows.

Each of the characters in house of usher also share the names of the characters in his literary works as well.

I highly recommend all of flanagan's mini-series ( I *think* I've watched them all). I'm a big fan of his. Gerald's Game is excellent story- really beautiful but also very heartbreaking. The ending is very hopeful, though
