I've been to Japan. They're fine. Why keep ''growing''? To what end?
@jamestaylor94b Жыл бұрын
They lost 800,000 ppl last year, the countryside is empty, demand is abysmal and millions of people lock themselves up for years or take their lives due to social depression. Saying japan is ok is like denying climate change.

@@jamestaylor94b You've spent how much time there? When people have enough stuff, they sometimes become less consumerist. ''Demand'' is a social and ecological problem...unless you belong to ''Consume, be silent, and die'' theory. Social depression is a problem created by messaging; my country has it way worse than Japan. Suicide ideation is universal...Japanese act on it more often for cultural reasons. Returning to the economy, it's fine.

@wgh Yes, but no. Lots of young families, 3 kids, moving into lovely well cared for neighbourhoods. Vibrant youth.

Japan is going to surpassed by India in 2030 in nominal GDP terms. But Japan per capita income will be larger than India. India will Take world no 3 economy of the coming decades . I would like to see competition between India and developed economies in exports and manufacturing.
