A new dog for the Farmhouse. This is one of those videos that just went in its own direction. I had planned some different things up at the Farmhouse this time but it ended up being all about the new dog. He is a big boy.

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE NEW TINY DOG..LOL Our are Rottweiler just showed up one day at our farm. He had been well taken care of. They dumped him & had removed his collar his hair was still laying down around his neck. I believe he road in on a semi that was hauling off corn out of our bins. I ran adds & called the county to see if anyone had lost him. I took him to our vet no chip. One year Later I found out a young man had dropped him off. We named him. His name was JAKE his weight 150 pounds all muscle. He was great with our 2 Daughters who was 13 & 15 at the time. He wasn't a mean dog & loved us all including my husband. He road with me in our grain trucks. NO MAN WAS TO COME NEAR ME OR OUR GIRLS.. HE WAS VERY PROTECTIVE. He would calm down on my command. He lived 10 wonderful years on our farm.. He was a GOOD DOG. Now 25 years later our farm dog is 7 pounds. The dog is my Granddaughters Chihuahua & no she doesn't bark constantly & she is very well behaved. Ms CoCo she is very protective too. lol GODS BLESSINGS

My 13 year old doberman gal passed away in June. I have been looking into other adoption areas now. I have learned about this rescue in Texas but was unsure. Then I see you all on here getting the new doggie and I see that rescue. I am doing my research and looking for a new companion and seeing you all gave me some reassurance on this rescue. This will most likely be my last doggie, as I am not getting any younger. I love your doggies.

After meeting our new rescue the vet said "she's had a serious upgrade in life". I think the same thing can be said for Bear.

OMG OMG OMG.....he is so handsome!!! I LOVE my Rotts and Pitties, they are the best dogs. Thank you for adopting him, I know he will be SO loved. BTW they don't reach their full size until 3 1/2 to 4 so he still may have some growing to do, and that is from a woman with a 4 year old 140 lb Rottweiler that likes to sit on my lap. Enjoy him!

Joe, for the bathroom faucet drip..... there should be a rubber seat and a spring down inside where the cartridge presses against. The last faucet like that I had to repair...... I put the spring/rubber seat in. And the leak was fixed. Only needed to do the hot side (it will normally always be the problem). And put the old cartridge back in (the drip was fixed by only the $3 seat/spring kit)!! Give it a whirl.

My rottie was 140 pounds but he never knew it (and I wasn't going to tell him). He always acted like a little dog... It could be that yours has never seen cats before.... When we got our wolf mix, our cat gave her a swipe on the nose with claws out and never had a problem again. She learned that cats weren't to be messed with... He doesne't seem aggressive, so I wouldn't worry. 💖🌞 🌵

Hey Joe, hope the new addition to the house works out well, for your sake, because I see Melissa putting HER LOVE all over him ....ahahahahhaha I learned that with my Chow. I was the one who gave him a home, trained him (the best one can train a Chow since they don't have a long attention span), however my wife pampered him like no one's business. As time went on he followed her everywhere...so much for calling him my dog, my pal....men's best friend. :)

David and I have all rescue animals. Most of the time, I think they rescue us more than we rescue them. Enjoyed the video. We lost our Rottie a few years ago, he was a senior when we got him, but played like he was a young pup with us and the other dogs. Many Blessings.

Joe,i am 50. I bought a Rottweiler when i was 18,it was a bitch i got. She was & still is the best companion i ever had in my life,pet wise i mean, as i am married lol. She was a 11 year old when she passed,she also lived way past the normal age they are supposed to rest @. Anyways wishing you & your Family well.

Joe, nice is relative. Here in NC 25 is only nice if you are in the Sun. We are going to have the mad dash for eggs, bread and milk today. The weather gurus are saying there is a possibility of up to 3 inches of snow on Thursday Feb 20. Unless we get heavy accumulation the roads should be okay. The big concern will be Friday morning when above freezing temps will be around noon time. But what ever fell Thursday night and early Friday morning will be gone by 2pm. But us North Carolinians do not know how to drive in Snow!

I had an English Mastiff and he was HUGE pushing over 200 lbs. I named him Lord Humungus after the bad buy in the Road Warrior movie, your dog is definitely a candidate for that name and we called Humungus Huge for short.

Rotties are AMAZING! I used to breed them about 15 years ago and had to stop breeding them for my own health issues...but I’ve had nothing but rotties since. My hubby was a German Shepherd lover and I’ve converted him...lol. Enjoy your new big ball of love!

Good luck with the new baby. It’s tough losing your best friend. My wife and I had to have our Leilani go to sleep today. She was 20 years old. For the past month she was going down hill. At the end couldn’t even walk. We’ve had good luck with pets. They live long and are the best, but losing them really really really sucks. We’re 60 now and don’t think we can do it again, plus I’ve got the big c. Anyways. I’ll watch yours and get pleasure from him. PS. Rotties are awesome.

We own a Rottweiler. Very protective of our property when he goes to roam outside to go to the bathroom. Friendly when walking too. Down fall for us. He's stubborn lol. Love your videos. I've always wanted to have a place like the tent.

Joe I had two Rottweilers, Brutus and Bacuss. They were the sweetest most affectionate dogs I ever had. Very loyal and loved attention. Had to put them down, one at ten years old and the other at twelve. Broke my heart. Good luck with yours. Great dogs!

I recently fostered some greyhounds and thought that they were big when they got out of the car. Haha. They had just been spade and I had to take their wound plasters off the day after they arrived. It was a little nerve-wracking but they were both as sweet as pie. Amazing how forgiving animals can be. Bear sure has found a good spot to spend many years.

Joe my friend had a female roc she was the sweetest dog was given to him by friends who could not keep her anymore. He still lived at home behind the church they attended. One day the Pastor came over to visit his dad and who do you think she decided to bite. She never bit anyone else. Joni looks happy to have a friend.

Not everything goes as planned. Your new arrival size wise will grow a tad more. My two Rotienwillers came from Italy at the age just shy their six month birthday. Afraid of most everything so I devoted each day to them. Although both from italy, nether were related. My male, Tramp was a blockhead where the female was an American (pointed nose) Lady was extremely gentle, picked as one for the queen of England then refused for some reason and when they both became available, I sent money for the adoption. I will tell you, its very expensive money wise but the best money I have ever spent in my whole life. Tramp was edgy at first but soon made up his mind this was forever and would not leave my side. Lady picked up on it and they chose the side they wanted and it was permanent. Side of truck the same and Tramp let Lady bully him a bit and bit by bit she pushed more till he had enough and he pinned her to the floor, then growled fiercely.... nothing more but put her in her place... then let her up and licked her face. This went on for the thirteen plus years and both very healthy. I will leave it at that. I can say no better companions in the world and if there is a rainbow heaven then let me be to reside there!!! I think yours is very smart and will protect the both of you as well as Joni... All your pets are good animals. Kittys included. Is the kitty in the box in chicken house a older animal? Mine tried to please me and one time and seldom a second no was ever ..... I could write books about them
