In her live Perimeter Public Lecture webcast on December 2, 2020, quantum condensed matter expert Karen Hallberg explored examples of emergent phenomena, such as superconductivity, and how we can tackle complex problems using quantum information to filter the most relevant data. Hallberg is a professor of physics at the Balseiro Institute and Research Director of the Bariloche Atomic Center, both in her native Argentina. She has developed state-of-the-art computational approaches to understanding nanoscopic systems and new materials.
Perimeter Institute (charitable registration number 88981 4323 RR0001) is the world's largest independent research hub devoted to theoretical physics, created to foster breakthroughs in the fundamental understanding of our universe, from the smallest particles to the entire cosmos. Think of quantum theory to equate with MOSFET design, on a basic level, and how high density magnetism might affect electron flow at different frequencies and levels. I like to think about unusual combinations of devices and practices that may or may not 'go' with each other.. Think outside the box. Point magnetism, not unlike Hallenbach effect magnetics, as applied to gate construction in mosfets. Using quantum high Gauss magnets on or near gate structures, and the potential changes to current flow, electron coupling, and frequency range of such potential combinations. Oddity is great.

You should ask the speakers to record their own speeches in audio or video+audio in high qualities with their own devices, as you chat. Later, you can make better final products with these audio and video files. Most scientific speakers would be happy to let you use their recordings. Low-quality sounds make our ears painful, and cause auditory neuromas. Higher-quality audio products can get more audience.

Well done, professor! Seems like the quantum world is very good at creating a lot of cognitive dissonance. A particle is what it is and what it is not simultaneously. We need to learn more about why this realm has these particular properties.

14:00 actually it is not in a "quantum state" as it is currently being described. What state it ends up being in, is determined by circumstances that extend across a time period of some measure, as was demonstrated in the 1999 Delayed-Choice quantum eraser experiment. Saying that it is in a quantum state, can be miss leading. To put it another way, a certain spin property was present, meaning it did exist in one spin state, however, this state was determined by future events. Quantum tunnelling is to be expected. Particles have a spin axis that not only extends across space, but it extends across the dimension of time as well. As a consequence, particles are moving back and forth across time relative to the "NOW" time or present time. By the time a particle reappears in the "NOW" time, its position may now be on the other side of the wall. Here, the term tunnelling, is somewhat misleading. Concerning moving holes, the idea was picked up by physicists while in their early childhood when watching the following cartoon kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHexqWqPe9x5nKs LOL.
