its funny when people are like, drag racing is easy you just go in a strait line, when you see the hundreds or thousands of things that have to go right in 3-5 seconds it is mind blowing. specifically how many ancillary systems that are working together in that 3 second span

The most fun guy to watch in drag racing. You can tell he truly enjoys every bit of it. He is badass but still has a blast doing it. Why do you do burn outs like that? "Cause I like it" put in the box with a win or in pieces he still acts the same. I really enjoy every video.

You are definitely a Rare Gem in the racing world..!! What is so cool about your videos is that if you start from the beginning and watch up till now they have evolved into something special..you guys step your game up every video.. Keep up the great work both on and off the track..!!!

Ok I appreciate that . I had wondered about the modulation of the lock up of the convertor and how to set that up with the controls . I should have know you guys are already got thought out. I had head that the lock up event was blowing off the rear tire ,shock loading the drive train or massive wheel stands . So I assumed that might be controlled with the electronics of the car .
@martinsmallwood55815 жыл бұрын
Man I could talk tech with Steve all day, how excited he got over my question you can tell he's a huge nerd for this stuff like me lol. That's so crazy you showed the video of the shadow wheelie while answering my question I was helping my buddy load up his ultra street car right by the fence when you went skidding by on the roof lol. Is that a 10" or 10.5" diameter converter? I figured track prep played a big part in when and how you apply the lock up along with power management based on what blower and blower speed you're running. So you're locking it in low gear huh? I was told by a 5.3" nitrous guy that's a no no, but imo I felt that if the tune up was right for the added load of the lock up you could do it. Knowing you were one of the pioneers of running a lock up in pro nitrous could you expand on this and tell us if the nitrous motor's are any different in where how and when they apply the lock up? I know the big 5.3" motors with 5, 6 and 7 kits are doing everything they can to get all the systems in before the gear change and just wondered how much more the lock up complicates the power management and shift timers. I'm a turbo queer (lol) and had one customer with a three speed and a lock up and I know how Proformance told him to run it, but I'm not up to snuff on the blower and nitrous set ups.

Have you had the valve train package you run on a spintron? I assume y'all are running the smaller and lighter 1.500" or 1.520" OD valve springs? 70mm cam? I assume 9/16 push rod at least on the exhaust side and 1/2 intake. Man I'd love to see the valve events on the cam from one of your motors it could even be an old motor so you're not giving out new top of the line stuff lol.

@anonymous yeah thats why theres different classes.... for the guys with a budget, and the ones who push boundaries and innovate.
@jubjub9053 жыл бұрын
@anonymous No, I mean spend money and put in the work to make this work in a street application. Takes money and r&d. Something wrong with that bud? Would you rather we still ride horses because someone had to dump money to design and produce the automobile?
@jubjub9053 жыл бұрын
@anonymous thats not a mic drop dude... how many of the guys who build a junkyard small block have any of that? I havent really seen anybody use proline on the street but I know steve morris has done some impressive things with what would traditionally be a quarter mile alcohol motor he's figured out how to make it survive thousands of miles on the road. Thats innovation. Again, thats why there are different classes. All of you guys who claim to be into racing always neglect classifying rules.
@jubjub9053 жыл бұрын
@anonymous there are other no prep events dude...and they have classes that deal with what you're talking about. To be fair you also specified drag week with that fuel motor. They too have classes.
