Correction at 3:37 : Since I have this monitor, for the love of God, DON'T use the embedded speakers. Even for incidental use, they are horrible. Most likely you'll have dedicated audio already, but just letting you know. The audio of your phone will be LOUDER than what you will be able to hear from the monitor. This screen is amazing, but it's clear that to save money, Asus completely dumped the audio quality.

Pro tip though: people should stop sheeping eachother by claiming motion blur reduction (black frame insertion, dyac+, ELMB, ULMB etc) provides a ''smoother'' visual. It actually does the *exact* opposite. It'll make any refresh rate and framerate appear clearer during motion, but choppier because it... well... removes motion blur - which usually creates the illusion of smooth movement. It increases motion clarity at the cost of smoothness, usually some brightness (unless dyac+) and approximately 0.5-1 frame of input lag. Remember those flickering 60hz CRT displays (if you're old, like me)? Yeah, that's the idea, but at much higher refresh rates usually.

@@r00kiet80 It is enough, but nowadays with the graphics card as advanced as it is, enough is never enough. People buy 2080ti for a reason, not to have enough graphics, they want to have their eyes burning off because of the pixel density. Gamers who only play competitive games are still the minority, you're always doing something else, maybe some triple-a games, maybe a movie or Netflix once in a while, where 1080p in a 27-inch display just don't cut it. I am just saying, from my experience, watching youtube videos from a 27-inch FHD screen sucks. Plus, real competitive gamers would prefer a 24-inch screen anyway, since they'll need to be close to the screen, and 27 inches is just a little bit too big.

Should I upgrade my 144hz monitor to this 280 hz one or cheapest 240 hz. Is there huge difference between 240 and 280 sounds?

Depends on what you do with your monitor and what your current one is. I don't know -every- 240Hz monitor, but I would grab one of the new AU Optronics based models if you go 240/240+. Either this one, or wait for the XG270 video later this week. This one is great though.

Its two years later, do you think this is still a good buy for a 280hz monitor? Looking to upgrade.

Depends on the price and your alternatives. I'd say going for 1440p (even 240hz) is still the best all-round experience. If you just want a fast 1080p, and this isn't too expensive, it's still a good option.
