These new parts are have awesome power it’s wild. That case is conflicting though. Cable management troubles aside that radiator mounting location kinda makes sense to pull air up the back of the motherboard. I mean those temps were kinda great

I have the 7800X3D because I'm a sucker for power efficiency, but the 14900k after being tuned will definitely outperform the 7800X3D in 1% lows, a very important metric that people are not paying attention to. While the 7800X3D is amazing in single player game, an overclocked 14900k will destroy it in massive multiplayer games in terms of smoothness. That being said, it is more expensive, consumess sooo much more power and requires an expensive cooler. I put a Peerless Assasin on my 7800X3D and called it a day. I love it.

@@JohnnyEMatos In some games yes it’s game by game, but for $350 cheaper it out performs and or equals it from every video I have watched comparing 13900k 7950x3D 14900K and 7800x3D always is better or equal for $350 less a steal

@@jakek3653 Yes, most of the videos you see around only test stock speeds and mostly single players games so the 7800X3D will always win in those scenarios. At stock it makes absolutely no sense to get a 14900k for gaming when the 7800X3D is so much cheaper and performs the same or better at stock, the same way it wouldn't make sense for a competitive overclocker to get a 7800X3D when they only care about higer clock speeds 1% lows instead of price or power consumption

@@JohnnyEMatos I guess true, but not everyone is a “competitive overclocker” I trying to figure out how to overclock my 7800x3D and 4090 right now. Looks like people are saying you don’t have to with the 7800x3D as it won’t make a big of a difference. As for the 4090 it came over clocked (base 2520, OC 2535) but I don’t know how to get it there to 2535 or more.

in terms of price to performance, yes the 7800x3d beats the 14900k. However with such high end builds, I'm pretty sure gamers would want to game in 4k resolution, and the differences are within margin of error between the 7800x3d and the 14900k in 4k.

The driving that motorcycle around in the game reminded me of that tune, I got three looks and that's it, but only I got one speed and that's it.. LOL looks like a nice build, I think the case manufacturer can do some improvements on that case.. making it so the top fans are a bit more towards the window side of the case, putting in cable management on the right side of the back of the case would be a couple of things they could do.. and they should have options as to different colors in powder coating different color cases.. it looked more blueish to me then purple.. and the Mother board, did not like the fact you could not just flash a bios without a cpu.. but I kind of liked what they did with the coloring and design art on that MB.. I would be ok with certain colors and or designs that they could make.. I think it would be cool if both the MB manufacturer and the case manufacturer did like NFL team designs.. I think they would sell pretty good.. so people could buy cases with themes for their favorite sports teams.. And I love your vids.. keep up the good work, hoping these vids make a good living for you..

Doing a similar build with a few different parts, more expensive case but less expensive cpu cooling so it should be similar enough, US tho so in USD it’s around 2800ish for me building it, while I saw prebuilts closer to or over 3000, so in my experience you save a little, but it’s worth the prebuilt if you don’t know how or don’t want to do the building

My 2 concerns are is that psu unit enough wattage? Should I go with a 1000w unit? And as for the cpu I originally wanted to get a i9 14600k but I heard it gets very hot so out of fear I went with the i7 13700k. Any bottlenecks from that? Any help is appreciated.

The LGA1700 i9s do that fairly commonly, sadly. You can go into the BIOS and change the Lite Load mode, and if needed the power limit setting. That would get this under control. It's very fast but very power hungry, which is where AMD really shines this generation by comparison A contact frame can shave a couple of degrees off as well

What happens when you put it on ultra performance on the DLSS? Do you get more frames/ less frames or just picture a better picture quality?

Ultra performance id avoid unless you have an 8K monitor (lol) and are trying to push 8K60fps. The performance gain isn’t worth the low internal render resolution. DLSS Quality and Balanced are the only two I use at 4K.

DLSS performance/ultra performance is not recommend because it makes your visual experience shit, it basically lowers your montior/TV resolution to 1080p even 720p at distances. balanced or quality is recommended

With my 4090, I find myself rendering in 6k, 8k or 16k - then use NVIDIAs downscaler to 4k to utilize more of the gpu to get even better textures. A few titles benefit from 4k native or 2.5k upscale to 4k. Like CyberPunk or Alan Wake 2.

I built pretty much the same one with a 4070-Ti (half the price) and Crucial T700 SSD, 64GB of 7200 RAM in a Dark Hero. Waiting for my 1000W Platnum power supply right now and i can boot it up. Cooling it with 8-140mm fans, 3 in a 420mm radiator. Pretty exciting. About $3k all in all when you shop smart and build it yourself.

@Scromes z790 Dark Hero. I'm having trouble getting the 12000 read/write on crystal disk mark with the T700 though. I called Crucial, Asus and Microsoft for help but still didn't fix it. I have one more thing to try before I give up and try to swap it for a 990 pro. I'm only getting 3500 max on it at the moment.
