If it was yellow it means he was slower if it was green it mean it was his personal best and if it was purple it was faster than all of them in that sector. So in sector 1 and 3 it was yellow and in sector 2 it was purple

You can't get the best result simply because of the car. Hamilton is the driver to get this car over the line and break all the records because he is the difference maker. There's a reason why Niki wanted Hamilton in the Merc seat. He's always been a late breaker, pacey racer. People also never credit Hamilton for having a hand in developing the car to what it was (last season was peak). HIs input at the factory is severely underrated imo.

That W11 is simply the fastest car in F1 history and one of the most dominant as well. The way DAS can help warm up the tyres to perfect temperature is incredible. And when Lewis is driving it, something from the outside has to go wrong for him not to put it on pole and win the race.

@@thomashayhurst6547 I think the MP4-4 took 15 out of 16 wins, actually. However as my comment stated, the W11 is one of the most dominant cars. Not the single most dominant car. I think however it is the fastest car overall with regards to speed. It broke so many track records throughout the season and had some of the quickest race times overall. Sure the W05, W06 and W07 were very quick and very dominant compared to the rest of the field as well, but if comparing directly with the W11 on lap time or race time, the W11 wins, I think.

@@MT-pp9yy The cars in mid 2000's were purposfully slowed down by the grooved tyres. But the naturally aspirated V10 engine had as much power as modern V6 turbo hybrid at the max engine and ERS mode. In 2004 and 2005 the F1 cars actually had higher top speed than modern F1 cars. For example, McLaren cars in 2005 were pulling 370km/h at Monza in race conditions.

Bottas, a perfectly average F1 driver, is always close to Lewis and gets ahead frequently. Take literally anyone in this field and put them in Bottas' car and they'd do the same or better. Lewis is great, he's not the best driver on the grid by a longshot and he knows it. Lewis is bored stiff out there and has been for a long time. This is horrible for F1, I can feel myself moving on from this series, FIA rules were a response to a 4-year Red Bull dynasty and they created an 8-year Merc dynasty that looks to become a 12 year dynasty. May as well not even have drivers at that point. I'd rather watch this entire field on equal karts every two weeks than this farce.

@@XenoghostTV let me break this down for you. When I say statistically, what I mean are the basic parameters of what would be needed to be considered as the most successful statistically. Race wins, pole positions, championships, podiums, laps led etc. Percentage wins will always be better for the earlier pilots of F1 because the seasons had far less races. So if a driver had a dominant car in the earlydays, the probability of higher percentage wins were inevitable. Based on the bulk of the metrics that are measured in F1 records, Hamilton WILL be the most successful very very shortly. Hope that clarifies my earlier statement.

Don’t get me wrong, lewis was extremely fast, but the car… on that second sector, with a low aerodynamic pressure kit, IT STUCK TO THE GROUND LIKE GLUE at 250+ Km/h… that’s just crazy. W11 is the pinnacle of the F1 technology, a beast.

IMO in hindsight and after some replication on my own I only see fault with the second chicane, a slightly further braking point would’ve given him speed to carry out of the shallow second part- which in my experience is generally several hundreds faster than how he took it. You can see the car step out and have to be wrangled back in. Other than that a perfect sector sounds about right
