@deekaykaydee9590 But in the moment & for a long time afterwards those feelings stay. They pull you under. You choke on them, they blind you & keep you in the tumult of riptides of agony. There's no shoreline, jagged rocks on the bottom & lightning on the surface. You are 100% right. It will pass. But this is toxicity, nothing is rational.

I get the feeling these antics have always worked with her parents, siblings, peers, lovers, teachers, and so forth, which is why she felt so confident she could bully the officers into letting her have her way. A majority of people these days put up with this. It’s either “too much work”, “too embarrassing”, or “not worth the false accusations”. Parents get dirty looks if they do or say anything negative to their screaming children in public, even if all they do is pick them up and carry them to the car. Young men are terrified of being wrongfully accused of terrible things, and thus are likely to cave pretty quickly if they think that’s on the table. Teachers aren’t allowed to even verbally discipline their students in many places. This gal was never taught that her antics won’t work on law enforcement. Unfortunately, her behavior isn’t likely to change much, and that worries me; I’d be terrified knowing this woman is out there driving around, just waiting for the next outburst that’ll inspire her to drive her car into something (or someone). A buddy of mine was in a car with his ex wife and their young child many years ago, and he answered a question “incorrectly”. When he said “no”, she immediately yanked the wheel over and drove directly into a small tree and a fence. All three escaped without serious injuries, but the car was totaled, and her parents *blamed him* for being “difficult” and “forcing her into a bad mood”. See, they knew that telling her she’d done wrong would result in a scene like we see above, and also knew that blaming him would result in less of a headache, so that’s the route they chose. I’d bet $12 and my last can of cherry Pepsi that her parents raised her exactly the same way.
