@Sue Sue Sounds delightful! I can't eat corn and soy fed animals, so I doubt that the chicken diet would be feasible for me, but it's not too different from what I'm managing... As someone who has had many severe food allergies, that have only gotten worse and more numerous as I've gotten older, I can absolutely attest to the efficacy of fasting to reduce or eliminate allergies. Its honestly been amazing to me. I used to be highly allergic, to near anaphylaxis, from whey, and casein proteins. A glass of milk could put me in the hospital. I have now been intermittent fasting as an 18:6 average with an hour or two either way, since the pandemic in 2020 began, now 3 years consistently. A few times a year I will go to 30 hours or so. One night, I came home from work after a fast of around 22 hrs, and decided to eat a mozzarella stick. I ended up eating the whole half dozen that I had. No reaction, whatsoever. I was, and to this day, am still astonished. In the future I plan on tentatively exploring my other allergies as well now, seeing how I can now consume milk again. Lobster, peas, bananas...I have had a list of 2 dozen food allergies, always growing...all my life. Its colored my relationship with food in general, dining out is a scary experience. Just knowing, and seeing this is possible from my own personal experience...is changing my life. I can't even explain how it feels to be able to eat food again that I loved, but literally turned into something that would kill me. I strongly, strongly recommend intermittent fasting to everyone who is of fully developed age, who does not have any serious pre-existing metabolic conditions. It will change your life. I rarely get sick anymore. My muscle tone and quality is good without serious constant workouts. I never experience nausea anymore. I experience far less anxiety in my daily life. Try it for a month, working up slowly form 14 hours to 18. It will change your life, and you will live longer for it. This has been statistically proven in the latest scientific journals and literature. Research it, and you will see.

@@redneckmemes594 leaky gut can be or IS caused by phytic acid from beans and whole grains, phytic acid is an 'anti-nutrient' and plants are full of all kinds of anti-nutrients, I would recommend an animal food based diet with intermittent and prolonged electrolyte fasting. @@cyberfunk3793 it is if you make your own meals instead of buying prepackaged or eating out. Dr Berg has a few videos where he talks about what he eats and what he recommends you eat. Think raw ingredients, some boiled, some lightly steamed, lightly fried etc Eggs, red meats, fish and vegetables. I also take the following roasted and salted nuts/seeds Almonds, Pistachios and Cashew nuts almost daily (if I remember I have a tub somewhere in the house). You can make your own non-cereal based breads though I’m yet to try them since I don’t eat much bread to start with and when I do, it’s usually bread products like hot cross buns, fruited bagels, crumpets or naan breads maybe once a week. I guess it depends on your culture’s eating preferences, what you were brought up with, what your favourite foods are, your willingness to part with carbs and cereals etc. I used to have a big bowl of cereal the first thing I’d do everyday after a shower...I’m talking 50g-150g + semi-skimmed store bought milk daily of something like Cheerios, corn flakes, Rice Crispies, honey nut loops, weetabix, shredded wheat, Rolled Oats made into porridge. This would on most days be followed up with some form of bread product I’d toast and put butter on and maybe butter + a jam depending on the product. I specifically remember a number of occasions where I was working a 6am-2pm shift and we got a 15minute break, a 30 minute lunch and then a further 15minute break. Once the manager came over and said there is a tour coming round we need to alter your 15minute break to be 15minutes later so there is some production happening while the tour is taking place. I remember vividly being very angry (hangry) with that person and the situation and all for what? Food. I have been fasting since October due to taking on a temporary maternity cover in an office and I have been intermittent fasting and no breakfast cereals have been consumed since. I come home anywhere between 2pm-6pm and make sure to fry/poach/scramble a minimum of 2 eggs along with steaming spinach, kale, bell pepper, courgette, mushroom, garlic, and some form of bagged salad leaves which include beet leaves and maybe rocket (akin to arrugala?) leaves. That is my first meal most days. If I have some form of bacon product in the fridge and still in good condition then I’ll add cook that too. After that I might eat some crisps (chips to the rest of the world), might have a pear with my 2.5year old since he likes them but doesn’t eat all of one, maybe some mango/peach/mandarins on various days. I’ll have nuts at various points though the evening. I also have some flavoured pro-biotic which either has flavouring of mango or passion fruit with seeds. I have sea salt and/or pink Himalayan salt on most meals if I remember. If I lightly fry my eggs and I remember I’ll put rosemary, basil, oregano, paprika and salt on the top of the yolks. Occasionally I’ll cook up some creamy garlic mushrooms since good lady loves them and I have started to now too. Then if the good lady makes a meal for her and the kid I’ll probably have some of that and maybe we’ll have a dessert if the kid goes to sleep at a reasonable hour. Once or twice a month we will have a fillet/rump/ribeye steak from the Lidl, sometimes they have grass-fed ones too. I only eat fish from the fish and chip shop...I need to find someone willing to cook me Salmon in a proper way for me to try a bit since I’ve only eaten it processed as part of a buffet and it wasn’t nice. I can’t justify spending on a large piece of Salmon if I’m not going to eat it after because I don’t know how to properly prepare a nice Salmon dish. I’m only doing the intermittent fasting while being mindful of carbs compared to what I used to be like. You don’t need grains, just need time and patience to cook good meals and maybe accept that repetition isn’t all that bad for the main meal as long as you have variety for any snacks or second mini-meal you may have.

For me, I learned my eczema was being caused by food sensitivity. It's hard because I had to figure it out on my own where doctors said I'll have to live with itchy hands forever. Hi thank you for your testimony, can you share what food you realized was causing your eczema
@LadyAutumn
@LadyAutumn 2 жыл бұрын
@@brandee3853 Sure! I found out by going to the allergist and doing a food allergy test. The biggest number one thing for me was Corn; it caused the biggest welt and discomfort. Then, soy, peanuts, and carrots. Cutting those out resolved all my eczema issues within a week. The irony of my allergies is that they are all things I've been eating since I was little and I've never reacted out-right to them in a way that I or my parents would ever know they were a problem. I never had anaphylaxis and I didn't start hydro eczema steadily until I was 19. I requested an allergy test and didn't believe the doctor about the allergies on the paper as I've been eating these things for years and thought I felt ok but Since the allergies from the doctors test was all I had to go by, and I was so tired of itching, I started to take it more seriously. I cut it all out immediately. It was hard because I had to become very diligent on reading every label on things I buy but doing this is how I figured out that, for me, my allergies manifest in delayed response on my hands between 24-48 hrs after eating one of those. To note this is something, in my experience, doctors have NEVER connected for me and I had to figure out myself. My primary doctor said I would live with eczema for the rest of my life and there's no cause and nothing I could do about it but manage symptoms with steroid. I had to connect the dots by doing my own research because the doctors only tend to look at things one piece at a time and not holistically in the short 10 minutes they diagnose you. They don't seem to look for root causes of it isn't obvious.

Fasting can most definitely work for food sensitivities, I eliminated a whole slew of intolerances with a series of five day fasts, and when I say intolerance I mean intolerable reactions like burning sensation in body parts, neuropathy, water retention, brain fog, undigested food in stool, others too. These are symptoms I slowly developed in my 20s from ingesting artificial ingredients (elimination diet isolated the cause by level of reactions). It got so bad that there were only a handful of foods I could eat without getting a severe reaction, even most basic healthy foods would give me some level of reaction, this went on for 4 years until a weak and fragile me accidentally discovered fasting by basically giving up on eating after so much frustration and despair. I realized after a few days how much better I felt, and after accomplishing one 5 day fast after another I felt the urge to try foods (like beans, dairy and fruits) that I couldn't handle before, and much to my surprise I no longer had any problems with the formerly offensive foods. Also, anyone suffering from the after effects of long term artificial sweetener usage/build-up in the body, fasting is your only way to get the junk out of your fat cells.

SUCCESS ! ! :-) Well guess what? I watched a lot of your videos and took notes, then went ahead and fasted and changed my diet. I was hoping to reduce or eliminate my allergy to my cat, as well as knock cancer on the head, (which I found out later was a wrong diagnosis thankfully!) But guess what happened when I fasted and followed some of your dietary advice? I cured my dust allergy that I have had all my life!! I used to always take tissues with me wherever I went. Not any more! Im happy! I am also having minimal symptoms to my cat's dander now too, (except when I get my period as my immune system is lowered). figure if I just keep going and ramp it up even too, I will be able to give my cat a cuddle again!! Dr Berg, THANKYOU!! My daughter is also happy that now she can get another kitten! Smiles all round! ( I changed my diet and did fasting). It didnt take that long either! (3 weeks to 2 months or less), and I dont plan on stopping!

OMAD is the one thing that reliably works for me. I've tried keto/carnivore/low-Histamine and none ever really shifted the Brain Fog. I am 72 years old and until this past summer the only allergic reaction I had ever experienced was to penicillin about 25 years ago. For that matter, I’m not absolutely certain that was the culprit as it happened during an extremely stressful time in my life. Nevertheless, I haven’t taken penicillin since. Last summer I broke out in hives all over. I attributed it to an overdose of fresh cherries and garden tomatoes. I love both! A course of prednisone and Benadryl took care of the problem. I eliminated both from my diet until a couple of weeks ago. Then I decided to test the waters. I began with a little bit of spaghetti. I mixed the sauce with half and half with Alfredo sauce and took out the tomato chunks. There seemed to be no reaction so I had a little for lunch the next day. A couple of days later I had some vegetable soup and a day later, a hot dog. A rash began on my legs. No hives. A couple of days later, I stupidly ate a small piece of lasagna at my birthday dinner. Two days later, hives. I went to the doctor and once again prednisone and Benadryl have taken care of it. They did bloodwork while at the doctor and the allergy results were wheat, shrimp, cow’s milk, egg white, and Timothy grass. Notice tomatoes are not on the list. I’m confused because in the 3 months following the first reaction, the only thing that I cut out was tomatoes and cherries and had no problem until I added back the tomatoes a couple of weeks ago. I want to try the fast and hopefully reset my immune system but am afraid that a total fast could get my electrolytes out of kelter. I don’t know what to do. I have always been healthy and take no prescribed medication for chronic conditions, only a BC occasionally for a headache.

Take out the tomatoes. The tests to see if you're allergic look for specific things, if that's not the component in tomato that you're reacting to, or its not an allergy but a sensitivity it will not show up.

Been on an "elimination diet" since 1978. The Ultimate Elimination is LECTINS and that pain isn't on the list of the ones you describe. That pain (for me) is more like neuropathy -- shooting or sticking (like nails) pains along my nerves. And one of the foods to which I am massively sensitive is TURMERIC (actually, anything yellow or orange). "Sometimes it can even go away..." Nope. A year of 12-18 hour daily fasts, keto based diet (20 grams Carb max, daily)... OMAD hasn't changed anything. I take Naringinen. I take Tudca. I use Bile salts and Betane HCL. This is daily. D3. Zinc. My gut now objects to sauerkraut and cabbage (bloating). I'm 72 and comfort myself with the fact that it won't be much longer. Maybe in my next life I'll be able to eat chocolate again.

How bad was/is your psoriasis and arthritis?
@helenamoniqueclarke8135
@helenamoniqueclarke8135 2 жыл бұрын
@@AFH2522 I was diagnosed with rheumatoid when I was in my 20's, but I've been diagnosed with so much stuff over the years as well. I've been doing Keto for years now though and reversed all of it. The reason the psoriasis and Eczema showed up could be partially due to vaccination and/or the fact that I came off of Keto and started eating a conventional diet again for about 5 months over the winter. Eating Keto/carnivore has kept things in check and appears to be reversing damage and weight regained over those 5 months. If I were eating a conventional diet, I would probably be on serious immunosuppressants and even biologics by now. So to answer your question, if I neglect myself, it's horrible. If I eat well, I'm okay. But it does mean building your life around your health as an absolute priority, which is how it should be anyway. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. Keto/IF has revolutionized my life. Dr. Berg, Jason Fung, Thomas Delauer...all saints.💯🙏🏽

@@myrkflinn4331 Gut health is critical. Try a bone broth fast as well. Helped me immensely after taking antibiotics. It takes time, but it gets better. Keto or even full Carnivore if necessary. Also, I do natural probiotics and prebiotics, including sauerkraut. Also, get Vitamin D. If you have any questions, let me know.

I started keto and fasting in 2019. Shortly after, I started reacting to more foods than before and getting hives more often than before, which was only a few times in my 40 years. At the end of 2021, all of a sudden, I developed severe eczema all over my body.Started prolonged water fasting and dry fasting to only make my eczema not only come back but getting worse.I used to get rid of it by taking high doses of vitamin d and k, but now it doesn't work anymore. So, I'm not sure about helping people with food sensitivities and eczema, as it only made it worse in my case.

Great video! Dr Berg gets to the root issue! Thank you Sir! I think fasting is the fastest way for anything to feel better especially gut/brain which are connected. It is very healing. I used to not be able to fast but since my body has trained to be able to use ketones fasting can be a regular practice. Keep lowering your carbs and raising your fat & protein till you find what works for you. The less frequency the better. Then one day fasting will go smoother. Don’t rush it. Use Real quality salt. Dr Bergs electrolytes have helped me for 5yrs. Ease into probiotics they have helped me tremendously lately. But research the quality. I use MegaSporeBiotic, BioKult, MoodSuperStrains, and L.Reuteri I’m in a gut healing protocol and one day won’t need all these as I will be able to eat diverse again and use homemade sauerkraut. Probiotics are my medicine. Study the microbiome and it’s link to most disease. I pray everyone keep learning and healing. May the peace of God be with you.

Dr Berg, Would you mind doing a video on at home food intolerance tests? The reviews are really confusing and people seem to have as many reasons for validating them as they do for invalidating them. Perhaps you could break down the potential pros and cons vs the doctor, and maybe even pinpoint why people seem to have so much trouble with them sometimes. Great video, as always. Thanks!
