The moron did a half assed apology, where he called The Dipole "Complete garbage", like we are responsible for his comprehension skills, and now he has pulled down the orignal video. I declare this Traffic Passing QRT.

We actually get taxed here in Chile for that , we pay a license for each repeater , its 19 usd or so every a couple of years ..

Wild. That's not a thing here in the United States. But we do pay to obtain and renew our license.

So much ignorance and stupidity these days in the amateur radio community. Thanks for calling out those idiots.

It’s so clear this is Hamsexy meets the Babylon Bee. To be fair I think the guy posting this really fell for it and believes he is sounding the alarm. As you said this is a serious lack of critical thinking skills. The ARRL swat team to eliminate jammers sounds like a good idea though.

What utter bulls***. Compared to the other OECD countries, our taxes are lower, and we don’t get anything from paying taxes: no free healthcare and no free college. We do get our government paying contractors three or four times what it costs the government to provide a product or service, so I guess corporate welfare is something…but that hurts us, it doesn’t help us.

I enjoy the satirical articles, but it gets RIDICULOUS when people grab them and try and pass them off as real. SMH.

Ham Radio is a dying breed. The FCC could better use the spectrum for the general public. Many Ham operators have no technical skills and because of modern technology they are not needed in emergency communications any longer.

Until they are. In a societal meltdown, cell towers and the internet go “poof”. Amateur radio will be the only communication medium widely available to anyone. Take heed.
