It's always incredibly satisfying seeing the hero, or heroes, claw their way out of the deepest pit imaginable.

I agree with your viewpoint. We also have to remember to be the heroes in our own lives.

The word "withdraw" is the perfect description of Frodo becoming detached from reality and himself. I love that

Footnote: Some build-ups and payoffs introduced in Fellowship of the Ring are not completed until Two Towers or Return of the King. Examples include the friendship of Legolas & Gimli, the ring’s lure over Frodo, as well as the ongoing overall prevailing themes of hope & sacrifice.

Nice stuff my dude! While I'll always be partial to ROTK as the best in the series, there's no denying the perfection of FOTR.

I agree with you. They get ever so slightly better as they go.

I agree with your point, but I also think this trope is abused in current TV series and movies. A plain happy ending is so rare these days and man kind needs it more than ever. Thats why RoTK will always be my favorite, though the whole trilogy is great.

Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I've got lots of LOTR content on the channel. Truthfully I'm not sure how much further I want to go this Channel, but I've got at least 1 last LOTR-essay left in me before I disappear. 👍

@@VirtueInsightWebPage I'll look forward to your ending works. Your channel has some very thorough analysis and the skill of language is amazing. It would be welcoming if you do continue your channel. After all, I've only stumbled upon your videos yesterday. However, I respect your choices, and nevertheless, applause you for your great work.

I do appreciate your appreciation of my work Laura. I've had this channel for nearly 5 years now, and these videos do take a considerable amount of time, energy, and effort. I'm the kind of person that I find it difficult to "switch-off" my creative energy. Despite my creative capabilities, I've been wanting to divorce myself from Technology. I may not disappear forever, but for awhile, a few years probably. I don't want to be on a computer or smartphone all the time. I want to live life actively and deliberately. Shift my creative energy back towards my old past-times of Artwork, Archery, Reading, Writing, Chess, or Baseball. So much of modern life is lived passively, and I do not want to live my life as passively as I have been living it. The best way I can explain it is to pull a quote from Thoreau when he lived in the woods: "I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."

@@VirtueInsightWebPage I can definitely understand. Recently, I have also tried to take a break from social media because I found out how draining it really is. I wish you the best on your creative hiatus, and that you can use them to your fullest potential to feel alive. Enjoy your hobbies and live, my friend. (I am quite familiar with that quote, ^-^ thank you for sharing)

@@LauraMluv2dancedrawart311120 I have greatly enjoyed reading this dialogue you had with my son. It was one of the last. Will died on January 27, 2021. He had a TBI from an allergic reaction to Prednizone. That happened when he was 17. He lived 6 years longer then the doctors thought. He started creating the channel at 19. He lived to be 25. I think from reading this he knew his brain was giving out and he did not wish to worry the family. We are continuing the channel. We put up a Memorial video. Let me know if you get to see it. Thanks for having a dialogue with Will. It was his favorite thing.

Greetings, all. Will's oldest brother here. I'd like to open up a discussion on this video: What is your favorite member of The Fellowship Of The Ring, and why? My favorite is Gandalf. I still play a very niche online game to this day that literally almost nobody knows about that both Will and I used to play when he was alive. It's called "The Kingdom Of Loathing." (Does anyone know or play this game!?! hahaha) It's a funny text and picture based game filled with jokes and pop culture references. In the game, since someone had already took the name, "Gandalf The White," I am known throughout the Kingdom as "Gandalf The Grey;" which is my character's name in the game. I love Gandalf because he is so old, so wise, and so peaceful; and yet, he can kick a lot of butt in battle! He acts as a wizard, a guide, and a friend to our heroes. I strive to be just like him when I'm a thousand years old. haha ...and...DISCUSS!
