Ok guilty as charged (somewhat) sticking with the Ferrari analogy, it’s a little bit hard to not want one when your friend tosses you the keys.and you get to experience it. Back to the speakers. We like what we like. Infinity was always the brand that gave me the sound I preferred. At a time when JBL and Bose were king in sales and I never cared for the sound. Everyone told me I was nuts. My current brand of speakers are up there in the price market and that is why I. bought mine used. All I can suggest in this hobby is seek a sound that you want not what everyone tells you to like. In the audiophile world my speakers are the red headed step child and I done care because they are exactly the sound I like. Did I go too high end? I don’t think so considering I paid less that some of the stuff you can get at Best Buy.

We are all guilty of it really, it's a side effect of being an human being. The longing to own something , we can't afford or simply dream about being as superior. It's pretty clear , you found what you love. That's what you should stick with, you said in your comment (which is a perfect example) of why we do that too. "Everyone told me I was nuts" automatically we seem to take to heart what someone else thinks. You're clearly where I am at with it too . In the end I don't give a fiddler's fuck what someone else thinks. And I most definitely stopped longing (or having a glorified) in" view of what's out there. I think you , know and experienced that too as being a big relief. You save so much money ! And you get a way lesser burden on you mentally too . It's not easy to be that way. Takes some goddamn discipline, so definitely for whomever sees this video. Not trying to attack you , but I do try to urge... Guys...it's OKAY it's not always greener what you think is greener.

Haha I just went to AXPONA here in Chicago and the only thing I wanted to buy and did was a set of head phones to finally have something decent. It’s been awhile and what a different listening experience

@@MichelLinschoten Maybe you might be able to point me in the right direction. I have an issue with my kappa 7.1 and im not sure where to start to diagnose it. Both left and right channels sound very muffled in the upper frequencies. I hooked them to a different receiver and the same issue. I find it bizarre that it would be both speakers. I tried to pull the crossover and do a quick inspection. They have that fn thing so zip tied so i set it aside to work on a million other household projects. Any starting suggestions would be great thanks!!

Check if the tweeters are not compromised, how does the polydome look like. Those do wear and tear (eventually they fracture/tear) I would start there, I will make a video tomorrow a little bit more explaining about the infinity pitfalls . Hopefully that helps
