@brianwilkins9573 there's a reason sports races (Radical, Rush, Stohr, Wolf) don't squeeze maximum power out of these motorcycle power trains. They aren't reliable enough when they start getting over 250hp. I know everyone likes to tout the 600hp busa mother, bla blah blah, bit those things wouldn't last a race weekend with the stress the cars put them under. Those engines are under tremendous stress pulling these cars. They spend their entire life at full sing, lap after lap, while pulling something 3 times heavier than they were designed for. You can buy a used 2018-20 gen rotax max otk kart for under $5000 in decent condition with plenty of spares and a kart trailer. 0 to 60 is under 3 seconds. 30 hp in a chassis weighing 85kg or 180 lbs. Thats faster than most Ferrari's. A set of Dunlops KE1 endurance race tyres last over 12 hours of track time for $250 a set. After 25 hours an engine top end rebuild cost $500 or $1000 for a full rebuild at 50 hrs. Top speed is 80 to 90 mph depending on the circuit. Half a day at a race track cost under $50 for entry, plus your running costs. Thats all you need, after 4 hours you would be feeling tired. KZ 125 gearbox karts would cost a similar amount of money to buy and run, but they have 49hp 6 gears and weigh 105 kgs 220 lbs with aero bodywork. Much faster than a Rotax max if you can handle the extra speed. Think 0 to 60 in under 2.5 secs and 140 kph + top speed potential. Forget about a 250 superkart, thats on a different level of performance and you need a lot of experience to drive one so a regular casual driver wont be able to handle a superkart. A KZ 125 or a 250 superkart would be way faster than this track car.

This video talks about power/weight and top speed, but they're really not that impressive. Track cars like this work so well because they have high downforce and low mass. Which means significantly higher cornering speeds and better braking. It's those low costs, that helps more people get into racing, and makes it cheaper to manufacture, sponsor, and build teams. Many automotive racing associations have been trying to find a sweet spot, when it comes to performance and cost, along with keeping fans interested. This ideology, can help bring in more sponsorship for cheaper, and allow more funds for advertising and promoting the sport. I give them props for trying there hand at this ideology, and hope it works out for everyone involved.

@@RushAutoWorks 1) could the engine not be restricted for certain people and race classes, and unrestricted for those who want the power? 2) Engine life, the GSXS, former GSXR1000 motor has better engine life that the busa motor? I always thought the busa motor had very good longevity. 3) I don't understand, the hyabusa needs a dry sump added and the GSXS does not? 4) I assume you are mentioning the spec series requires 1000 cc or less, this makes sense. So the Radical is running a stock busa motor and you are running a stock GSXS motor and a busa motor requires a rebuild 3 times as often? This seems odd, but I am no expert. Very cool car, cant wait to find out more about it. It looks like you have a very good design.

@@f1hotrod527The Radical with the stock Hyabusa motor is 100 hours for rebuild. It's the 1500cc version that is 50 hours. The Rush doesn't need big power. Everyone is so focused on the engine. Drive one, then let me know how you like. I can arrange for that, at $300 per track session.

What if you did an engine swap with a Kawasaki H2/R? I think it could be even faster.

That was my thought too. Wouldn't it be awesome 😎

Not hating, I love what this company stands for. Helping the average person live out their track day dreams. My only question is, why not use the suzuki gsxr1000 motor?

For 30k you can build a sick miata/ solstice as well

Yeah but some don’t want to or don’t have the know how though. The other thing is this looks better and most likely performs better.
@arthurerby24663 жыл бұрын
You could but to implement the technologies needed to make a 300hp miata compete with this would cost you far more your taking a road going car and msking. It into a track purpose vehicle with entirely new suspension components engine mounts etc adding new weights and such that it wasn't built to deal with plus whatever modifications you make to the frame so yes you might be able to build a car in that price range that can keep up in the turns but straight awayd the other will hook better have a better designed frame and overall be a better design that being said I'm still building my center seat cappuccino with the rotary swap in the hopes of being able to keep up with stuff like this and Porsches all around

And still be beaten by this. All this needs is a supercharger or turbo. And off to the "big" races. At 935 lbs it's a no brainer. The lightest I've seen a Miata is around 1500 lbs. And all that is taken off and put in doesn't offset much. I've tried. Ariel Motors, which is simply a chassis weighs in at 1100 lbs. And is street legal. 30k for the Rush RSR is not bad at all. You can build your own chassis but it'll cost you more after all is said and done. This is a complete vehicle for that price. It's a win/win formula. You can upgrade to any cycle engine for more hurspurs...... Now add lights, wipers, a place to put my license plates and I'm in.

@@RUESPEED1 that's if. It. Could hook after the turbo /superchargwr they could develop it to of course but I have a fealing. Without a larger aero package and all if wouldn't work out the best

Like how the promo video shows a C5 pulling away from it through, and out of a corner. Just how bad ass those cars are. Cool concept though. Ive been thinking something like this for a long time. Center seat, 1000cc inline 4 screamer, something smaller, like the college mini F1 style cars. BAC Mono esc type car. But i would also want a very simple AWD system. Ala-these new hybrids. An electric motor for the front wheels, that only works at under 45-55mph at 60-75% or more throttle for front wheels only, while gas for the rear. Both at same time. Then it kicks off at 45-55mph and rear wheela gas only power stays. And make it a throttle input like that so you dont always have that front pull if you dont want. But if you mash it, you get it. Some real simple breaklight type switch would work for that. Or a real simple controler, at 60% throttle you get 50% power, 70% throttle gets 75% power. Or just ramp the power with speed instead, 0-60mph you get 10-100% power spread out. Obviously whatever testing to make the front not spin would be needes. But pair that, with the motorcycle gas enegine driving rear wheels and you have a super fast acceleration car that is cheap. Waiting for my detached garage to get started.
