@sullivanlaramie29014 жыл бұрын
I was (only) Public Affairs, but there was a lot of downward "yes sir" and "yes ma'am" around the office for simplicity. Started off as a lot of officers coming through and we didn't necessarily know the rank of someone who started talking to us from behind. Eventually it was just something we did even when we knew who was talking. The officers didn't seem to mind and our master sergeant started it, so it was just one of those things.

@commutingwithcato26 күн бұрын
@@brianthao102 thank you for the service. Yeah unfortunately the decision was made to cut Tanks from the Corps. That's a rabbit hole in itself. It was stated that we had to refocus into going back to amphibious roots. Which is valid, but I think it was just an excuse to cut funds where they want to. Meanwhile jet programs cost billions and lil ole Marine Corps can't have it's tanks. It's ok, one team one fight. Thank you again for your service.

Happy Thanksgiving too man. Hope you find a good recruiter. Something you could always do as well, is a friend of mine was getting denied into the Navy so he just kept asking to talk to the next boss up, and the next boss up and finally had lunch with the Commanding Officer of the entire region, who subsequently put him in the Navy, just because of his dedication. I try doing about five more pull-ups to bring it up to 9 or 10 pull-ups, I got to about 8. I've been trying to run 3 miles in at least 20 minutes. Boot Camp also gets you in shape but it is more intense and more stressful than at home. I always try to simulate for my self what Boot Camp would be like, I've been getting up at 04:00 hours or 03:30 hours, and imagining a DI screaming in my face, but that is just dreaming, and it does not count if it's not the real deal.

If you gained U.S. citizenship then yes. From what I heard people can join at 17 years old with their parents permission, but when they are 18 they can join with their own concent. However if you are older than 18 or something like that, then you can just join. There are a lot other background checks you have to go through, but if they ask you question that are too personal well, don't ask, don't tell.

Also, Marines have MARSOC which in 10 years could be better than SEALs *started under a decade ago. Marine Recon as well is Special operations
