This bounty increase is the 2nd time that his bounty has tripled, going from 500 million to 1.5 billion, the last time this happened was after Enies Lobby when his bounty went from 100 million to 300 million. Of course, even this bounty of his is nothing compared to those of the Big Dogs.... The reason why Karasu has the same style as overhaul is because they are following a real-life dress style (mask wise), which is that of the plague doctor. And the plague doctor's mask is made to resemble a crow's face. See the resemblance? All of the revolutionary commanders (except Karasu) wear hats with goggles on them (like Sabo's).

Just to clarify on the technical side, Luffy wouldn't be a Yonkou, he'd be a Gokou (if that's the correct translation). Yonkou translates to 4 emperors/kings, Yon = 4 kou = king, Go = 5, If Luffy killed Big Mom, then he'd be a Yonkou by taking her spot.

Because the manga doesn't do it so much better by adding in just a few pages of refresher material as to not disrupt the flow of all the epic stuff during the Reverie... I get the anime has to remain a decent length behind the manga, but they should keep that distance with pure filler. Then all of the original source material doesn't have to suffer from poor pacing issues. Besides, do you think people have somehow forgotten the events of Marineford and whatnot? Even if they had, they can always go and watch those episodes again. *Minor spoilers for Wano*. Do you think true One Piece fans have to be happy that the anime decides to make Batman appear way tougher than he should? That's screwing up Oda's original perspective.

Another fun fact: (for those that didn’t know) Katakuri’s bounty is 1.57 million berries because he said he will always be one step ahead of Luffy. Luffy’s devil fruit gomu gomu no mei/gum gum fruit. Gomu translates to 56. So Katakuri being 1 step ahead aka 1 billion and 1 number higher than Luffy’s devil fruit number. I found this funny in the manga, but the anime seems to confuse every single reactor and people in the comment sections. Luffy is NOT a Yonko. He's not even a real Emperor! It's just what BIG NEWS MORGANS called Luffy, because he's such a biased fanboy. AND he landed on that conclusion because of a SERIES of misunderstandings and insanely lucky coincidences that happened to Luffy. * Luffy wasn't the mastermind, it was Bege with Casesar's weapons. * They should have died several times over, but through several quirks of fate and luck they survived: * Big Mom's hunger pangs started and lasted during the entire escape * The Strawhats had lost but then suddenly Dufeld (?) stole and then dropped the Tamate Box which caused a giant explosion, letting everyone escape. * Luffy got credit for destroying Big Mom's castle, while it was all other people doing that. Luffy, AN EMPEROR? Luffy BARELY survived Katakuri (to be fair he should have lost and died multiple times, I still call that fight BS). For anyone actually thinking Luffy is an Emperor now: Luffy went all-out GEAR FOUR with his strongest attack against Big Mom, she LAUGHED and back hand slapped Luffy away, causing him go get KNOCKED OUT of Gear 4 and he fell unconscious to the ground, making Sanji have to carry him to safety. Yes, Luffy is low-mid tier Yonko Commander now probably (we haven't seen the strongest ones yet). But any Emperor could almost one-shot any Yonko Commander; that gap is still insanely huge. Morgans and some of the common folks are calling Luffy an unofficial Fifth Emperor, mostly because of things he didn't really do. But the Government, other Emperors and even just other strong pirates sees this as a joke and refuses to acknowledge it. TL;DR: It's NOT an official label Luffy has gotten, and Luffy is NOT nearly as strong as even the weakest Yonko. Furthermore a Yonko needs vast territory in the New World and have a shot at the One Piece, Luffy has neither at the moment.

it's not like the ''title'' of yonko comes with a ceremony. it's from how they have influence on the world and the share of power they hold in the world. Luffy right now has a lot of both, enough to be on par with the other 4? probably not but he's next on the list. So to the world it's not so far fetched to call him the 5th emperor.
