2:33, this isn't just a conspiracy, at this point in the story this was already confirmed. Recall that even before Arlong himself was introduced, Johny and Yosaku said that Arlong used to be on the same crew as one of the Seven Warlords, a fishman named Jinbe.

Arlongs band of pirates in the east blue are Officially called the Arlong pirates. The blue mark like what nami has is their own symbol while the Red one is a mark from the Fishman pirates. The Fishman pirates are connected to Fishman island, the home of fishmen, and Arlong and his top brass left them due to disagreements. The Fishman pirates were formed to rescue enslaved fishmen from Celestial dragons and the red brand is used to cover up the celestial dragons brand.

I was actually thiiiiiis close 🤏 to watching Movie 5 during my initial series watch. I skipped the movies the fans agreed weren't good, but deliberated over this one because Zoro is such a good character. Glad I ended up skipping it cuz...yeah, not very good, obviously. That said, all anime movies are really just anime studios going "hey kids, do you want to see your favorite little guy put in...SITUATIONS?" because fans respond with "YEEEAAAAH I LOVE SEEING MY SPECIAL LITTLE GUYS IN SITUATIONS!!!!" 🤩It's an overly expensive fanfiction-fanart bundle! No one goes into a movie for an anime series expecting character development - we're here for Fun Times With The Gang and World-Building! (And a side of New HD Anime Desktop Wallpaper Opportunity. *edit: how could I forget "Shipping Material"? hahaha) Movie 6 though... It's somethin' *special*. 👀I look forward to seeing you react to it.
