Videos like this are what make your channel great. After a tough day, going back out and getting back to where most of us start: throwing worms/plastic grubs from the shore of a neat little pond, and catching the king of the pond. Awesome work. Also as an animal lover: thank you for being so kind to that turtle. I've known a lot of people to hook them and just cut their lines and I think that's bogus as hell.

Great catch! That channel cat on an ultra-light was awesome! My PB channel cat is 32" and 15.6lbs on a Zebco 33 combo I bought at a Walmart on sale for $19.99 LOL! I thought I was walleye fishing with nightcrawlers when I found a place where the channel cats were spawning ...I caught 9 channel cats in that same area over a 9 hour period ranging from 7lbs to the 15.5lber all on that Zebco 33 Combo and I gotta say that was the most fun I had fishing for a long time! Channel cats rock!!!

You can catch them in the Mississippi or Ohio in Illinois. I've caught a few in quarries up north

I love your videos, I've been following you for a while. I recommend fishing at night to increase your chances of catching a big cat. If you ever make it to Ohio, check out the Muskingum River and Hoover Reservoir. Muskingum has big flatheads and Hoover has big flatheads and blues. I too want to catch one of the bigguns!! My biggest so far is 24 lbs and Im going out again tonight to try the river, wish me luck!

Hey Nick, for huge fish try a trip to Oklahoma. Kaw lake has a lot of huge Gar and catfish. One fall we went through Kaw City and east of town, crossing the lake I looked down and there was a 12 to 14 foot boat with a scary big catfish they'd brought up beside the boat. There was no way it would fit in the boat. A couple other trips around the 'open to public' areas in the northwest coves we walked up on really big Gar while exploring.
