In this episode I battle with record breaking high temperatures in France to cycle my last leg back to Brighton. I explore the cities of Poitiers, Chartres and Rouen.

Congratulations! What a fantastic trip! You should really have grabbed one of those medals 😄 💐That would have been well deserved. Enjoy normality for a while now, until your inner adventurer wants to explore new areas on the map 👍😀

Thanks Torunn. Yes, I think I might put my feet up for a while.

Id say that was perhaps my fave episode, funniest too!! We went to Rouen last September, really enjoyed it too! That part in the lonely park too 🤣🤣 Will catch up on your others soon too. All the best, will shout if ever riding thru brighton with the wife and baby!
@WestGoesEast2 жыл бұрын
Ah thanks. Yeah Rouen is great isn't it and so little talked about over here. Yeah, give me a shout if you head to Brighton!

As we say in Cornwall 'proper job' well done Phil. May the Adventurer in you never die that is what makes us humans special.
@WestGoesEast2 жыл бұрын
Thank you :) I don't think the adventurer in me will ever die... Well I hope not.

so many interesting moments in this one! the deceased otter, the flies following your drone way up in the sky like it's the mothership fly, the playground, the difficult to judge dog, and wow, the organ player! great little series Phil, look forwards to your next. When you start to run out of European adventures you should make a mini-series doing the inca trail. Good work mate

RIP otter. Thank you, really glad you enjoyed the series.

Great watch and very inspirational. The entertainment value to views ratio is way too low, hope it picks up pace for this truly hidden gem on youtube.

If you did it again what would you change? I feel like we need a post cycle review.

Maybe take less t-shirts but an extra pair of cycling shorts.

Congratulations Phil on your epic journey! It has been inspirational, informative and entertaining. We could have nearly met en route as I also cycled from Surrey to Newhaven, caught the ferry to Dieppe and cycled all the way to sunny Provence. I cycled through some same towns and cities like you. And also in June! I am so looking forward to seeing what your next adventure takes you. What an achievement!

Ah no way? Shame we didn't cross paths. Do you have links to any pics and photos from your trip?

@@WestGoesEast No unfortunately not. I am not really on social media (defo not on KZbin) though I’ve got an Insta account where I posted some pics. Also more on Strava…

What was your fav place you went to or thing you saw?

Faroe Islands was incredible, cycling in the Wilderness in Norway, sketchy cliff road in Pyrenees, Underground church and Trolls were my highlights but there were so much more.

Wow! Nice one Phil! Congrats on finishing such an epic journey! What a wild ride! Thanks very much for sharing mate, has been great watching your adventure! Now the question is, where u gonna go next?! P.S. if i'd have had a million guesses as to "what that" was, a dead otter wouldn't have been one XD
@WestGoesEast8 ай бұрын
Glad you enjoyed watching mate. Well eventually I want to have cycle the height of Europe. This was a decent chunk of it. Ps. Ha, yeah you don't see too many dead otters, however it's actually the second I've seen.
