The squirrels in those videos are most likely orphans who can't be returned to the wild due to being too friendly to humans which can cause all sorts of problems for the squirrel. Other times it's because the squirrel is injured in some way that it would be a death sentence to send them into the wild again. But if it's not that then it's gross and they shouldn't have a squirrel. Wild animals aren't pets.

As someone also in the neurodivergent spectrum (Semantive Pragmative Language Disorder, but autism is easier) I feel this. I try not to make a big deal about it, but controlling all of my ticks and trying to maintain focus on socialization without anyone noticing my sound or light sensitivity in a public setting makes it really draining on my energy levels. And sometimes, because people don't even know anymore bc of how hard I've worked to hide it all, it feels like I'm doing it all for nothing. But when I see how much I've grown and changed to adapt to the albeit cruel world I grew up in, it feels so much better when people aren't repulsed. I still to this day have an extremely hard time looking myself in the mirror, let alone at how I used to be without having a full psychic meltdown over the fact that my disability still exists. It makes me feel like my ambition will never be rewarded in the real world just because I've got some stupid brain block standing in my way of success. I feel like my body mannerisms aren't good enough, or I'm just making a big deal out of it. But in reality, it's just harder for me to experience emotions correctly, or even get attached to someone to begin with (and I mean an extremely turbulent family life doesn't help matters any either). When I did trust someone, it ended up badly, so I feel like I don't deserve to commit to someone like that, or that I don't want to or need to. It's a rough patch, but I'm hopeful that I'll get out better, albeit broken and mentally/emotionally unstable but those things are just par for the course nowadays. I don't mind being a little messed up in the head as long as I can work through what's happening to me right now. I want to get better, and I wish the best for those who are in similar situations to mine.

Honestly LARPtok is a pretty good community. Even if you're not that much into fantasy setting, all the famous charaters are really intresting and/or wholsomr (especialy Quincy, the one Mac reacted to).
