@@Stezii8 first make sure your monitor or TV are capable of 120hz (most are 60hz) and just enter the game settings in graphics it should say 120hz. Make sure your game console has it turned on as well in the settings

@@Stezii8 shii i dont know man sounds like a hardware problem. Does it freeze with every game or just the finals? If it freezes with any game then just make sure the ps5 is not super dusty and that it's in an open space so thag it's able to keep ventilation. Also preferably plug in directly to a wall outlet and don't use power strips because I used to have an issue where my xbox would freeze on start up and just turned out that it wasn't receiving sufficient power from the outlet

A PS4 could literally run any game even GTA 6 the reason why I say this is because my Samsung Smart TV is able to do cloud streaming with Xcloud and GeForce Now and that’s a tv not even a console lool 😅😂

i was interested in seeing what they needed to sacrifice to make it run on ps4 seems like it's running around 720p maybe 900p, medium settings and 30fps not terrible but idk how people are gonna compete with ps5/xbox series X and especially PC.

Yeah I think it's probably running at 720p with an unlocked framer ate which pushes maybe between 30-40 fps. It felt a bit more fluid than a locked 30 but just wasn't hitting 60. Lol yeah, one thing I said to my friend was that playing ranked on it was probably not going to be viable, especially now that ps5 and Xbox (I think) can run at 120fps

This definitely seems like something they did to get people in poorer countries a way to play the game. I know a lot of people in Latin America are still on PS4 cause getting a PS5 is pretty difficult

the ps4 is still used in the west is well. there's no good games on the ps5, and there is practically nothing special or revolutionary about it, which is why no one has the incentive to upgrade

There was some investors report Sony released a few months ago that said that there are still about 50 million active PSN accounts running on only the PS4. I figure that Embark wanted to tap into this and also allow the game to be more accessible on console as the ps4 was the highest selling console last gen.

I love how people think UE5 means you cant downgrade the graphics to make it run better. The reason UE5 games run like absolute crap is because the devs are incompetent and try to "cheat" their way thought making a game without trying it optimize it at all.

What kills the experience a bit on PS4 (I'm a PS4 user) is the 30 fps but maybe it's justifiable because it's a new generation PS5 and Xbox series game, Hopefully in some update they will improve the optimization and the ability to run at least at 45 to 59 fps, we just have to wait for this great game.

Xbox series x has no problems running at 120fps so it may be possible but honestly man as my other boy said it's time to leave these consoles in the past. They're very much holding back the new generation of consoles. I understand the launch for these new consoles was somewhat of a fail but it's been 4 years already and it's like we're still waiting for the capabilities of the new consoles to be put to use

Its clearly low spec and any other version is better but I think they did a very good job by offering a descent and consistant framerate specially considering the very demanding physics (fog, destruction etc...)

as a ps4 user i couldn't be more grateful to be able to play the game but my only concern is the lack of mouse and keyboard support, i hope the devs consider this in the future but i don't know if this is any of their interest

It's an unreal engine 5 game so it should support it. I know that Fortnite has the option for MNK but maybe in this case it's for competitive integrity. Like if a console user vs another console user fight and one is on MNK, that could be a bit weird. Maybe if they add support then you are placed in PC only lobbies.

The Finals eats up your CPU’s performance instead of the graphics cards, so it makes since that both the old gen and new gen consoles are struggling somewhat. My pc even dips to like 80 FPS sometimes cause I only have a Ryzen 5600g CPU. I’m just glad that more people now have the opportunity to play The Finals even if it isn’t the greatest experience just yet.

Remote play on ps4 is 60 fps as well but sometimes the image quality and fps is a bit lower when i play finals or a game like crew motorfest

i play on pc with an i9 and RTX 4090 and get about 211 - 230fps av, @ high settings with frame gen. its amazing, i love this game

then there is something wrong with ur system then, cus i can get 275 avg with 4070 super and 9600x, i also use frame gen as well, u sure it aint 300 plus? i would expect that from a system such as yours

The game is more cpu demanding than gpu. If there are significant differences in fps then it likely has to do with the cpu

Genuine question. Why would you run this game with frame gen? I would rather play this game at a stable 120fps rather than 240 with the horrible input lag that frame gen introduces if I had a 4090. I have a laptop with 5600h & a 3060 and my game runs 90-100fps at all EPIC settings no frame gen. I understand frame gen for single player titles but not in a high paced games like finals

@@crabnix there isnt much input delay if you already get higher 200fps. The input delay is more severe the lower your base fps range is.

@@Meltdownlv100 yeah but I still don't get it why the need for frame gen and upscaling when the game is already running at 200fps. I get about 90-100fps and I still hate running dlss. I would rather play native at 90 than upscaled at 120

I'm very happy they finally gave us a 120hz mode, but I'm a tad disappointed. I can't see a difference in the lighting/shadows/reflections, which are more taxing on hardware than draw distance, which they did change. Now playing fuzzy 1080 stretched on a bigger screen with fuzzy motion, because UE5, and constant pop-in, which i havent seen since i got a ps5. All to maintain fidelity options that are being blurred. I think with static lighting and more options on low, the game could still hit the same 115-120hz on 9th gen. I just want clean 1440p, but it's being held back by bare bones ray tracing that can't keep up with gameplay. On console, it can take 20 seconds to update lighting to the CONSTANT destruction.. what's even the point in blurry fidelity options that lag so far behind the gameplay?
