Hi I am watching from the UK, it's kind of sweet in a way, when you refer to a find as 'ancient and historic'. It does make me smile when I hear it. I want to invite you over to England so I can show you Stonehenge and Avebury stone circles. Silbury Hill, Kennet Long barrow. There are numerous white horse images carved into the hillside too. My nearest one is at a place called Uffington. We have also Barbury Castle (which is minutes away from my front door.) This is where all the ley lines meet. Wiltshire England is where I live. It is when you get so excited about something that is only 200years old that, I can fully appreciate how lucky I really am. You would be welcome anytime. Take care and love to all my American cousins. xx P.S. Avebury stone Circle has a pub with a thatched roof in the centre of it, how thoughtful of the ancient people to build a 1/4 mile across stone circle with enough room to fit houses, a road, shops and a pub into the centre. 😂

😂 the struggles of dyslexia come with several pluses, my favorite 1 of which is reading people’s sentences/texts totally wrong than the way it was supposed to be/already was typed/worded, because then once I’ve figured out what it actually says I die of laughter. I thought u typed a message stating how “there’s just *someone complaining* about someone else digging a hole while both not complaining and finding it to have them feel like what they’re doing is legit fun

In Washington State there are old stone weights used by the First Nations along our shoreline that look very similar to that only they are round on both ends with a groove carved in the center. They were used to weigh down fishing nets. Nice find!

@@johnl1685 It's a native American stone hammer, you can look it up online and see quite a few examples. The positioning of the groove is one indicator that it's a hammer and not a fishing weight.

Below the Plains, I am extremely happy that You Tube put your channel on my phone! When I saw the intro and the Stone Hammer, just had to view your video. I actually found a Stone implement in approximately 1989 on a ranch southeast of Seymour, Texas; just lying on top of the grass among numerous scattered rocks. It was a reddish color with a round back and pointed front with a groove on both sides at the back end. There is one like it in the right corner inset on the page where you are digging out the Hammer (near the center and pointed down with handle horizontal. Always wondered about the age of it; especially made my day! Thanks for putting in the extra info about all the items. Keep Safe & Healthy!!!

You are very fortunate that most of those bottles were intact!!! I have helped excavate outhouses from old homesteads, and since there was no garbage pickup, farmers threw most of their garbage or broken things into the pit--- In one excavation, we found approx 40 broken arrowheads, assuming the farmer threw the broken points into the pit, and kept the unbroken ones----

haha one step ahead of you! except the authentification part.. we gave it to the city... they had a little display in their library by the time we ended up leaving town.. thats probably the most stuff i had ever given to a single town.. pretty much every one of our videos from leeds has something that i believe is still up and on display!.. but im like 90% sure its from the past 300 years.. it could be a little older, but we sent pictures to someone we knew who had found them before and he said it was a pretty broad date range, but its likely that its from the 1800s. well thanks for watcing! and be sure to follow us on facebook, its just "below the plains" thanks

JUST DISCOVERED your channel. very interesting. I am curious, you find a lot a Pharmacy bottles thrown in the "toilet" what were in those pharmacy bottles back in the day that there seems to always be people using them so much? HOW OLD WAS THE HAMMER STONE ?? Was the stone worth anything ? What do you do with your haul afterwards ? ALSO, How do you know how to PINPOINT where the outhouse was ?? I GUESS BACK IN THE DAY they did not have as many public trash cans or ways to dispose of trash so I guess throwing them in the TOILET ( which they knew would be eventually buried ) was as good a place as any.
