They're intentionally prices differently for balance reasons. Fire nades are much more useful to CTs to defend with than Ts to attack with. On top of that most things are more expensive for CTs simply because defending is easier than attacking, and making their gear more expensive is an easy way to balance the two teams.

I find it odd that my friend survived the entire duration of the molotov when I threw it on him. He was afking and suddenly started spinning (because he got tilted), then I dropped a molotov on him which bounced off of him, exploded and the fire left him with 15HP.. That was a bit weird...

Kevlar vest don't prevent you to be on fire in real life ! - I assume is a correction made to look like it should be at the beginning ! The point still is a helmet can prevent you to be more burned than you would be without it ! So there still a point with the full kevlarvest + helmet tool

I don't believe cire should change based on armour. However the rate you take fire damage should probably be down to how long it has been since a player first enters the fire rather than how long since the fire was started.

Balance. Incendiary is much more useful for CTs to delay time and defend than it is for Ts to attack with. Also everything is more expensive for CTs for balance reasons (since Ts have to attack into fortified positions). Defending is always going to be easier than attacking, so having their gear cost more is an easy way to balance the two teams.

I think fire granades should do kevlar dmg but not molotovs because: 1. Molotov is cheaper, it should be worse. 2. Almost no CT rifle can 1 shot helmet, and those who can (AUG) have very limited range, so using fire nades to be able to one shot helmet would be very good as CT rifles cost more and are worse.
