Do you understand the science? I’m from California, live in Oregon, been a forest service hotshot and many other roles within the two states forestry departments. I left Cali because everyone knew how terrible the forests were maintained, for almost 20 years now. Oregon does a pretty good job at it though. California isn’t lacking water, and climate change has nothing to do with these fires. If the temp was 10 higher or 10 lower it wouldn’t make a difference. It’s dry, the California forest floor is a cluster fuck, and the state wastes water and money.

She says this. While climate change has always been a thing. We sped up this process. There is undeniable evidence that humans have had a significant impact on earth. She has found microplastics in food as well as water humans eat or drink. Coal impacted the environment too. Gas impacts it.

Congress impeaches him, but doesn't remove him from the office of President, claims it's the Justice Department's responsibility to hold Donald Trump accountable. The Justice Department indicts Trump, planned a prosecution of Trump, and claim Trump would have been convicted, but would have refused to imprison him, based on an unconstitutional policy in the Justice Department, an illegal ruling by the Supreme Court, and an election Trump was not legally eligible to participate in. State courts that... dismissed a Trump case, recklessly removed a prosecuter from a Trump trial, and refuse to sentence Trump to prison, which he was found guilty on 34 counts, based on an election Trump was not legally eligible to participate in. The military who will disobey their oath, violate the 14th Amendment, Section 3 and blindly follow orders given by Trump, who is not legally Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces. A President who claim he is capable of doing the job, will abide by the United States Constitution and his oath, and wanted a second term, but is willing to not only turn the Presidency over to Trump, he sees as a danger and unfit, but acknowledges Trump is an insurrectionist.

Here's a couple very genuine suggestions for modern US politics. - Require news outlets to remain unaffiliated with any political parties by law. In a democratic nation, everyone should have the untouchable right to inform themselves objectively. - Put laws in place that punish news outlets for accepting money from politically-involved persons. Private health care should be free to exist alongside public health care, but public health care should nevertheless provide people with the best support possible with them only having to pay extra for cosmetic surgery and medication below a fixed price (which should be below whatever insulin costs). - Gender equality and freedom of gender identity laws that are untouchable by any government. These are human rights (which the US are notorious for violating every chance they get), not politics. - Standardized public education across all US states, secured by tax money. The quality of your educational systems determines the future of your country. Your children should have an untouchable right to access the best education possible. - School uniforms in all US states, with the intended purpose of reducing individual discrimination of students that can't afford more expensive clothes. - Put laws in place that require at least 60% of all energy produced to be green energy. - Price tags in all stores across all states should include taxes by default. If a price tag says $25, the cash register should say $25, not $25 plus taxes. - Withdraw from all military conflicts the US Armed Forces are actively involved in. The US is supposed to be the leading nation in peace negotiations and ensuring global peace, including with terror regiments such as China and Russia. - Social media- and internet competence educational classes at US schools. This should be available from fourth grade on and teach children how to spot lies, AI, misleading information, how to not fall victim to the aforementioned, and how to behave like a reasonable human being on the internet. - Create and maintain public transportation infrastructure, funded by taxes and managed by local authorities (county level). Every European state does this and it directly links into the following: - Place higher taxes on private motorized transportation that isn't of electrical nature (combustion engines). The intended purpose is to make public transportation more attractive and driving a motorized vehicle that produces CO² less attractive. And these are just a couple of things that quickly manifested in my mind.

From the driest state in the driest continent. Adelaide has a desal plant powered by solar panels. We process sewerage and use the water for agriculture and parklands. We store stormwater in ponds which refill underground aquifers for garden use. Irrigation water is transported in pipes. There are no open channels (since 1968). There are reservoirs in the hills and a pipeline from the River Murray. There are underground watersources also for watering sportsgrounds and gardens. SA water is wholly owned by the South Australian government - the people own the water and infrastructure.The population fully supports water restrictions put in place during droughts. People water early morning and late evening. We have water saving toilet sisterns (dual flush), water saving shower heads with sufficient pressure. We have enough solar panels and wind turbines to sometimes fully supply all needed power in our state. Since the last drought in 2011 people have changed gardens so there are fewer lawns and more drought tolerant plants. From what I can see California's problems come from private ownership in water resources and corruption in the public/private interactions. Water is critical and should be in the hands of the people. The population has bought in to the concept of conserving water.

If desalination is mostly an energy concern, they could build a thorium reactor right next to a desalination center. Pull the thorium from the seawater to feed the reactor to generate the energy but no one seems to know about thorium nuclear fission I guess
